Remember Me! (Guren x Reader) Part 1

Guren's P.O.V

Watching from a distance I saw (Y/N) talking to Shinya, a smile plastered on her face as she giggled at a comment made by the white haired male.

She didn't remember me. She barely knew her own name when she woke up....

I should have been there to protect her all those weeks ago, but I wasn't. I was selfish, I made work my priority instead of her, I let her go alone thinking nothing of it not knowing that it would be the last time that she would recognise me... love me.

I let her go. It was my fault... and I payed the price. I never knew what it was like to lose someone so precious to me, but here I am.

A small laugh leaves my lips as I see (Y/N) trip over her own feet only to be caught by Shinya. He was trying to help me, trying to help restore her memories for me, for us.

It's been a month since she lost her memories, a month since she was ambushed by vampires and thrown from the top of the building. She was lucky to even still be alive. But to live each day, knowing that she doesn't remember what we had, knowing that I may never be her lover again or be close to her hurts me even more.

I won't give up on her, not ever. I will continue to try to win her heart back, no matter what. I need her in my life to function, to live, to smile, to feel hope. Without (Y/N) I'm nothing.

I snap out of my trance upon hearing Kureto shouting my name. "What do you want?" I question as a look round at him, boredom lacing my words as I cover up my feelings. "You're needed for a meeting, stop being such a lazy git and get moving, you're already late!" He says sternly before turning around and heading towards the meeting room, his assistant following him like a lost puppy, a clipboard in hand.

I take one last glance at (Y/N) only to find that she was looking straight at me, her beautiful (E/C) eyes looking straight into my own, a small smile on her lips. A light blush suddenly creeps onto my cheeks as I smile back at her before turning around slowly heading towards the board roon preparing myself for a long-ass meeting, but not before making a promise to himself that the next time he saw you, he would talk to you.

(Y/N) P.O.V

I turn round to look at the general only to meet his gaze. I smile at him awkwardly, acknowledging his smile before he turns around and walks off into the distance.

It's been a month since I recovered from my injuries, though most of my memories remained lost... yet whenever I saw him, my heart fluttered and my cheeks started to burn. I couldn't help but feel like he was once important in my life.

I turn back around to continue my conversation with Shinya. The muppet was talking to me about how his latest car was cut in half by Guren and I couldn't help but laugh at his story. He acted like a child sometimes but that's what made him your friend.

As Shinya glanced behind you, he saw Guren start walk away and looked down at you. "I need to be off (Y/N), there's a meeting that I need to get to and I believe that I'm already late for it!" He cries out before waving, smiling, and sprinting after Guren.

Left alone to your own thoughts you sigh and smile before walking back towards your apartment debating about what to have for dinner. Yet you couldn't shake the thoughts of Guren from your mind, that's when you decided to talk to him whenever you next saw him. Maybe he could help you regain your memories.
