Y/n's pov.
"Lauren hurry the fuck up!" I yelled.

I heard Lauren groan.

She finally popped up in front of me.

"I hate these hormones." She muttered, earning a slap on the back.

She muttered something else, but she got in her car with me.

"Where is it again?" Lauren asked as she started her car.
"Oh yeah, you've never been to Karen's office." I mumbled.

I explained where Karen's office is and she started driving.

Today's the day we get to know the baby's gender.

Lauren wants a baby boy, but she says if we get a girl, she'll love them unconditionally.

I on the other hand don't care about the baby's gender.

As long as I have the baby, I'll be alright.

I felt a hand grab mine and I turn my head.

"We're here, I think." She says with a smile.

I smile back at her and we get out of the car.

We entered Karen's office and stopped in front of the woman behind the front counter.

"Ahh Y/n. Mrs. Mendes is waiting for you in her office." The woman said.

I smiled and nodded and walked to the elevator.

"I'm excited to know what our little nugget's gender is." Lauren said as I pressed the floor button.
"Same." I agreed.

When the doors opened, we both got out.

I knocked on the door and entered.

"There's my favourite couple." Karen said with a big smile.

I didn't even notice Shawn and Hailee were in the room until Shawn spoke.

"Mom?!" He asked in disbelief.
"Oh. I mean second favourite couple." Karen said, chuckled and winked at me.

"No. I agree with Karen. You guys are my favourite couple." Hailee said and earned a glare from Shawn.
"Babe! Really?!" He asked.

Hailee chuckled and nodded.

He just scoffed playfully and stood up.

"Wow." He said before hugging me.

I chuckled at him as he hugged Lauren.

"Ready to know what the baby's gender is?" Karen asked.

I looked at Lauren and she nodded.

I looked back at Karen and nodded at her.

She opened a door and motioned us to come in.

We both came in and Karen made me lay on a bed.

"This is going to be cold." Karen said and sat down.

She took a bottle of something and pulled my shirt up to my chest.

She wiped the liquid on my stomach and I closed my eyes.

It was really cold.

I heard Lauren giggle and she held my hand.

"That cold?" She asked when I opened my eyes.

I simply nodded at her and I felt something on my stomach.

"There she is." Karen said as she looked at a monitor.

I looked at the monitor, not taking in what Karen just said.

"Did you just say she?" Lauren asked.

My eyes widened as I realised what Karen said.

"Yep." Karen said.

I started cheering as Lauren did too.

"We're going to have a little Y/n!" Lauren yelled making me laugh.

Karen smiled and handed me a napkin.

"Wipe the liquid off, I'll be back with some pictures." She said.

I smiled at her and Lauren took the napkin out of my hands and started wiping my stomach.

I just stared at her as she wiped it off.

Suddenly, she poked my stomach and rested her chin on my waist.

"Hey nugget, it's your mama. You might hear me, or you might not, but just know that I love you." Lauren whispered.

My eyes started watering as she made a conversation with my stomach.

"See that?" Lauren pointed at me.
"That's your mommy. She loves you a lot too." Lauren said and smiled at me.

I could see the tears in her eyes.

I smiled back at her and pulled her towards me.

I kissed her lips and rested my hand on her cheek.

"I'll just leave these here." We heard a voice say.

We pulled away and saw Karen wave at us and set the baby pictures down on the bed I was on.

Lauren took the photos and showed me.

"I love her already." She whispered.
