Rob checked the grandstand. No sign of Becky and Linc. He wondered if she'd keep her word and turn up. The only contact they'd had over the last two days was sitting beside each other in Maths B. They hadn't spoken and she hadn't even glanced at him.

Rob picked up his ball. She hadn't been at Linc's hockey training on Monday either.

"Are you coming to Southgate?" Drew grinned. "I hope you don't mind but I might give it another shot with Lizzy." He tilted his head. "She was more responsive to me on Saturday night and I figured you're not serious about getting it on with her since you and Becky... you know?"

"Go for it." Rob smirked. "I don't have time for it anyway." They walked towards the gate.

"So are you coming to Southgate?" Drew asked again.

"Ah... not sure. I was putting in some extra time with Linc Bridgestone. I'll see how it goes."

Drew gave him a thumbs up. The rest of the guys said their goodbyes.

"See you at the café, hero!" Scott yelled.

Rob grinned and gave him the finger. He slipped his hockey stick into its bag and slung it over his shoulder. Becky still hadn't shown up. What to do? He picked up his backpack and headed towards the pool.

She was there squatting on the edge of the water talking to her brother. Rob smirked. Why would he have even thought she'd wait where he'd asked her to wait? Should he say something? No. She'd said he had no right to talk to her so he wouldn't. Better to keep his mouth shut.

"Hey Rob!" Linc was already in the water. He hung over the edge and waved at him.

Becky stood up and looked over. Rob caught her eye but she turned away and said something to Linc. He gave Linc a grin and put his stuff on the seat beside theirs. Rob took off his shirt and shoes then headed towards the storeroom. He came out with a kickboard and water polo ball. As he got closer, Becky glanced at him and walked past without saying a word. She sat on the seat near the bags.

"How are you, Linc?" Rob slid into the pool.

"Real good." Linc beamed. "Becky says you're gonna help me with my exercises."

Rob couldn't help but smile at the kid's enthusiasm. "I'm gonna try but we'll see how it goes." He reached for the kickboard. "Have you done any work in the water before to build the muscle?"

"Not yet." Linc hung his head. "I think the physio was going to but Dad said it didn't matter no more cause I could walk again so, I haven't gone to therapy for a couple of months."

"Okay." Rob wondered what sort of father they had.

"Becky's got a copy of my program in her bag. She helps me at home but not every day cause sometimes she's gotta work." Linc ran his hand through the water and shrugged.

"Not to worry." Rob smiled. "I want you to use the kick board. We'll go across the pool but first let's get you warmed up. Hold onto the ledge and start moving your legs. Up, down, then open, and shut them. Just go gentle to get the muscles moving. Okay."

Linc nodded and started to move his legs. Once he warmed up, Rob handed him the kick board.

"Let's give it a go." Rob walked through the water beside Linc as he kicked across the pool. When they got to the other side, they did some stretching exercises, and then headed back to the other side. Rob grabbed the ball. "Alright. How does your leg feel?"

"Yeah good." Linc grinned still holding onto the kickboard and moving his legs.

"Let's have a game with the ball," Rob said. "Give me the kickboard and move toward the middle a bit." Rob put the board on the edge and waited until Linc moved away. "Can you touch?"

"Yep." Linc laughed.

"So you've got to try and catch it. Push up out of the water and dive for it. Okay. Then throw it back."

Becky watched Rob move through the water beside Linc. She wished he'd kept his shirt on. She looked away and sighed. He hadn't spoken to her for two days. Well... what did she expect? She did tell him not to. Truth was she expected him to come back at her because of the rumour she'd started.

She grinned at the ground and would have loved to see his face when he'd found out she'd told everyone he had a small dick and couldn't get it up.

Becky studied him again. It wasn't true. He'd definitely got it up and it hadn't felt small.

She blushed at the memory of him pressed hard against her. A surged of sadness washed over her because it had all been for Lizzy. Then the prick had called her Lizzy when he'd dropped her at Macca's, just to piss her off, because she had told him not to call her that again.

Becky took another breath as she watched him with her brother. Trin asked her if Rob had made her cry because Hunter told her Rob said he had. She'd laughed in Trin's face and said that his small dick wouldn't make any girl cry except in disappointment. Becky chuckled because Trin pissed herself laughing. The only trouble now, was Trin vowed to do it with him so she could see for herself. If that happened Trin would find out Becky was lying.

"Becky!"

She looked up out of her reverie to see Linc waving at her.

"Watch me! Go on, Rob throw it!"

Becky couldn't help but grin. Linc had a smile from ear to ear. Rob threw the ball. Linc pushed up out of the water, dived for it and caught it. She clapped. The bastard was getting Linc's leg working by playing a game with him. Linc wouldn't even realise the effort to push off from the pool floor to dive for the ball was exercise.

"Alright. That's enough, Linc." Rob waved him over. "We don't want to overdo it."

"But it's good, Rob. Please...one more." Linc pleaded. "It's not hurting."

"One more and that's it for today." Rob grinned. "Too much and you'll have trouble tomorrow. I need you at training." He held the ball up. "Are you ready?"

"Yeah, I'm ready."

Rob threw the ball high. Linc watched it come down. He dived, caught it and beamed.

"Good work mate." Rob followed Linc to the side of the pool and helped him out.

Becky handed Linc his towel and watched Rob haul himself out of the water. His muscles rippled. He picked up the ball and board then came towards them. Droplets ran down his body. She followed their path from his chest over his stomach and into the waistband of his shorts.

Oh God... Becky looked up at him. He was smiling. Not with his mouth but with his eyes. He knew she'd looked at him. Anxiety ran through her. No way. She did not like Rob Jarvis. Not now. Not ever.

"Come on, Linc. We have to go." She picked up their bags and headed off.

"Thanks, Rob. That was fun." Linc beamed up at him.

Rob rubbed him on the head. "No worries, mate. I'll see you tomorrow."

Linc scrambled after his sister. "Becky... that was rude. You didn't even say..."

Rob couldn't hear the end of Linc's sentence or Becky's reply but she looked over her shoulder and ran her eyes over him again. He wasn't positive but he was sure she smiled. He rubbed himself dry and lifted his shirt. A manila folder fell onto the ground. Rob picked it up and flipped it open. Linc's exercise program was inside. He smirked. This just might work.
