Warming Smile

Y/N POV

I slowly opened my eyes to the bright light of the room. It was only making me want to close them once more and continue my peaceful slumber. But I knew I had to get up.

" hey Y/N " Someone spoke, I looked over to see Gon with a big goofy smile on his face and turned to my right to see Killua with a slight smile. " oh hey... guys " I said slowly as I rubbed my eyes. " why didn't you wake me up? " " well, you looked so peaceful, so we didn't want to bother you " answered Gon as he turned to face the window. I did the same, my smile growing when I saw all the pretty bright lights as we moved in the airship.

" wow, this is beautiful " I was so mesmerized by what I was seeing, I never got to see stuff like this when I was back at my village. " oh wait, we're is Kurapika and Leorio? " I asked. " oh don't worry, they were kinda tired so they decided to hit the go right to sleep. " answered Killua with his eyes still glued to the window.

" oh that's good " I say to no one in particular. There was a sudden silence in the room, no one said a word everyone was just staring out the window. It wasn't really awkward but I decided to make conversation anyway, but someone beat me to it.

" sooo " we both looked to Gon as he continued to speak. " I was wondering about you're guises parents, we're are they? " me and Killua both looked to each other confused, that was kind of random. Killua started to speak " hmmm, well, their alive probably " " oh really what do they do? " Gon continued.

" their assassins " that little fact made me freeze for a quick second. My mind was running all over the place, memories started to come back, questions started to appear. I don't know why I was acting this way. Hearing that little detail about Killua's parents shouldn't have this much of an effect on me. So why....

" they both are? " I asked breaking out of my trance. Killua looked at me for a moment before answering and started to laugh. " what? Did I say something weird " " no, not at all I'm just surprised that's your response "

You both look to him confused, " you guys aren't the first people I've told about my parents, but you both are the first people to take it seriously " he said still chuckling. " but it is true right? " Gon asked still not quite understanding what is so funny. " why do you say that? " Killua questioned. " just a hunch " Gon replied.

" well, that's kind of weird. Usually people only like me because they can't tell if I'm serious or not " Killua added while putting his head down. " really?? I really like you Killua I think your great " I say smiling. It took him awhile to respond but when he did he was all red. " c-c-cut it out will ya, that's embarrassing " " but it's true I really like you, your one of my first real friends " I said while grabbing his right hand in both mine. His face softened a little but then he quickly snatched his hand away.

" thanks.....I guess " he said while rubbing the back of his head. Killua continue telling the story about his family, he told us that he hates his family and that when he becomes a hunter he'll hunt them down and get rid of them. He says he's blames his rotten personality on his parents but I have no idea what he's talking about. I truly think he's a great person even though I haven't known him for that long it's just a feeling in my gut.

" what about your parents Y/N? " asked Gon smile from before never leaving his face. " oh, well my parents died when I was very little " both of their expressions turned from curiosity to sadness. I immediately started to panic. " oh no no no!!! It's ok really, it happens " " so who do you live with then " asked Killua. " I live with my grandmother, my big sister, and little sister, I used to have a older brother but he died as well.

" how did they die " ask Gon. " well my brother die taking the hunter exam actually, well at least that's what I've been told. And my parents... Well " I was hesitant I didn't want to tell them the truth it was still kind of a sensitive topic for me and plus I didn't want to make Killua feel uncomfortable. My parents were killed by assassins but they didn't need to know that just yet.

" my parents... Were killed in a car accident " they both just stared, did I say something wrong. " you don't have to lie " I froze, how could Gon tell I was lying. " yeah, it's ok if you don't want to tell us. " what!! They both know. Is it that obvious, " um...I'm sorry, I guess I'm still pretty sensitive about the topic "

I was never really good at keeping secrets, so I guess something I did gave it away. But still.

" I'm really sorry guys I didn't mean to lie to you " I said with my head down ashamed. " it's ok, really I get it " Gon said." I don't " said Killua coldly. We both looked to him shocked. " people die all the time it's the circle of life " I was confused, did I say something to make him mad.

" I'm sorry Killua I didn't mean to make you upset, I promise I'll tell you the truth when we land " I said to him with a small smile, it kind of hurt when Killua acted coldly towards me but the last thing I want is to make him mad.

His eyes widened and he just stared back at me, I was about to say something else when I felt a strange feeling. Like I was being watched, or like I was being preyed on. I'm pretty sure Gon and Killua felt it to because they both jumped out of their seats and stood in front of me.

When we all turned no one was there. But we all couldn't have just been imagining it. " is something wrong " we heard a voice from the opposite side of the hallway. It was chairman Netero, " oh hello chairman Netero " I said waving.

" hey mr. Netero did you see someone come in from that corner? " asked Gon as he pointed to the left were we all felt that strange vibe. " no I didn't " he answered

" what do you want, you don't have to do anything till the last faze isn't that right " said Killua venomously. " now, now theirs know need to be un kind, I just got a little bored so I decided to look for some company " said the Chairman. Did I miss something, there seems to be more tension in the air than before.

" how about you miss L/N? " he called my name making my jump a little. " would you like to keep me company? " what? I'm now officially confused. I saw Killua start to get angry, I was about to calm him down but he grabbed my wrist and started to pull me away from Netero. " let's go Gon!! "

" wait, would you like to play a little game. " we all stopped and turned to look at Netero. " a game?? " asked Gon. " Yup and to make it far if any off you win I will make you Hunters on the spot " Gon seemed to be on board with this idea but it took Killua a few minutes to answer ".....fine, are you going to join Y/N " they all looked at me.

" no I'm going to bed, I'm really tired. I'm going to go find Kurapika and Leorio. Don't stay up to long ok you guys " I said while walking away it was really late and if I was going to have any energy for tomorrow's faze I needed to get some sleep.

I found Kurapika and Leorio in a small room cuddled together in a big blanket I took out my camera and took a picture, they were so cute. I put my camera back in my bag and went to sit down next to Kurapika. I was trying not to wake him up, but It didn't work. He slowly opened his eyes and yawned.

" I'm sorry Kurapika, I didn't mean to wake you ". " it's alright, we're are Gon and Killua? " " they went to play a game with the chairman " I answered while slowly getting under the covers next to him. " oh uh what are you doing? " he asked. " i'm trying to get comfortable silly I'm sleeping next to you tonight if that's ok " " oh, that's fine good night " " good night Kurapika " I said to him, my head was on his shoulder and my arms were wrapped around him. I'm kind of a cuddler I hope he doesn't find that annoying.
