3rd POV
Levi was a future Beta of the pack. He couldn't take his mom's place before Alpha Y/n came back from his training, but he felt more anxious every day, Y/n was about to come back in a week. To be honest they hated each other. They're supposed to run the pack together, Levi was meant to be a support for Y/n But how could he? They couldn't stand each other. Y/n would probably banish him from the pack. And it all started from a one thing...It's felt so trivial now...
Flashback
-How could you do that? I trusted you!-roared Y/n. His girlfriend was in bed with Levi. - How can I call you my Beta?
-Y/n, please...-begged Levi.
-Don't. I don't want to hear this. I lost every ounce of trust I had for you.
End of flashback
Levi regretted his choices and decisions back there. He didn't think, it was a heat of the moment. (Rise and shine Sammy XD) He chose a worthless whore over his best friend. Everything was lost that day. Without the trust of his Alpha, a Beta was nothing. They used to be friends, almost like brothers. Three months after that incident Y/n left for training. It was two years ago.
Time skip -> a week later
Levi's POV
All of the pack members were preparing the house for Y/n. The second he will come in is the moment of him taking over the pack. If he's mated to someone in the pack he will feel it too. I will be the Beta officially, unless Y/n will choose someone else and strip me off of my title. When we heard the bells we knew Y/n was on our territory. In half an hour he was home.
-Surprise!-yelled everybody. I looked at him. His eyes were cold and stern. He changed during the training. His muscles were more visible now, his jaw sharpened. He was smoking hot.
-Mate-whispered my wolf. My eyes went wide.
-You gotta be kidding me.-said Y/n and walked outside.
Time skip
Y/n's POV
After I walked out of the house my father followed me. He tried to talk to me, convince me to give Levi a chance. He betrayed me earlier, how can I know if he wouldn't do it again? My wolf whimpers, he needs his mate. Maybe I could give him a chance? Maybe my father is right. I don't trust Levi, but I trust my dad. If he says Levi regrets what he did, I believe him. I walked to Levi's room to talk. I could hear him crying. My suspicions were confirmed when I knocked on the door and he responded in weak hoarse voice.
-Levi it's me. I want to talk.-I said.
-Leave me alone.
-Please. Two minutes, not more.
-Fine.-Levi unlocked the door and opened it. I walked in and sat on the bed.
-I'm sorry I reacted like that. I should explain myself. -I took a shaky breath.- I was scared. I was scared of betrayal. I won't mention the fact that my mate turned out to be a male. I walked outside to clear my mind. I talked to my father. I will understand if you won't forgive me, but I wanted to at least have it off my chest. I want you to be my mate and my Beta. And I will wait for you as long as needed.
After I said all I needed to say we sat there in silence for a while. Levi spoke first.
-After you left...I was thinking about it a lot. I feared the day you'd come back home. I wondered how would I manage to look you in the eye. I know I fucked up back then, and I want to assure you that I learned my lesson. Your trust and friendship is all I need. If you want me to be your mate, then I want that too.
We hugged each other. I needed his warmth. I nuzzled him and sighted in content. We fell on the bed together and Levi pulled me for a kiss. We kissed and snuggled together.
-Fall asleep with me.-he said. I cuddled him and kissed his forehead. Soon we fell asleep in each other's arms.
