Bonus - Names

(Y/N) looked up from the book she was reading and glanced around the Cullens living room. All of them were there, doing their own thing. Esme and Carlisle were sitting, quietly talking with each other. Rosalie and Emmett were cuddling on the other side of the couch while probably sneaking kisses every now and then. Jasper was reading a book in a chair by the window while Alice and Edward were playing chess, a clash of titans if (Y/N) had to be perfectly honest.

"Hey..." (Y/N) called out to no one in specific. They all looked up at her. "What do you think? Name wise that is."

(Y/N) put her hand down to her stomach. She was about thirty weeks in and was loving/hating it like only a true mother could. She had thought of almost everything. Except a name. Unsurprisingly, it was Alice who gave her opinion first.

"I like the name Matthew!" She said, clapping her hands together. "It sounds cute but also dependable and can be shortened into a great nickname."

"It is a nice name." (Y/N) agreed, nodding as she mulled it over a bit.

"Why not name him something badass?" Emmett questioned with a slight grin. "Like Logan for example. It's strong and fierce."

"I think you've watched too much X-Men." (Y/N) deadpanned. She didn't dislike the name but his reasoning for it was lackluster in her opinion. Emmett shrugged with a short chuckle.

"How about Noah?" Rosalie suggested, tilting her head in (Y/N)s direction. "It's short and easy to say. And it has a really sweet sound to it."

"If you want something short then may I suggest Lucas?" Esme smiled at (Y/N) who nodded as she thought. Both names were good but they didn't really fit in her opinion.

"I think (Y/N) wants a bit of a different name." Edward noted as he got a thoughtful frown on his face. "How about Jonathan? Strong sounding, without it being too intimidating."

"Levi could be a good one too." Jasper added from his chair by the windows. "It sounds like a name that would belong to a hardworking man."

"I like all of these names." (Y/N) frowned before she glanced over at Carlisle. "Do you have any suggestions Carlisle?"

"I've always been rather fond of the name Sebastian." He smiled slightly. "But I think you should choose for yourself. It is your child after all and your decision."

"I know." (Y/N) said with a nod. "I just like getting suggestions. I like all of them to be honest."

The girl thought for a while, a frown matching the one Edward had a few seconds ago etching its way onto her face. Names flew through her mind before one popped out. She could see Edward smile out of the corner of her eye as she snapped her fingers with a big smile on her face.

"I got it!" She said as she grinned widely. "A name that combines all of the things you said. It's strong and sounds like a name belonging to a hard worker, it's sweet and can be shortened into a good nickname. And most importantly, I like it!"

"It's a good name." Edward agreed with a nod. (Y/N) put down her book on the table and pointed to the author.

"You're gonna name him Shakespeare?" Emmett teased and (Y/N) rolled her eyes, shaking her head.

"No, of course not." She sighed sharply, though not truly annoyed. "I meant this name. William."
