Once Callie and Marie got back home, they sat down at their table and talked.
"I'm sorry, Marie," Callie said.
"It's okay, Callie," replied Marie. "I know you're not evil. You'd never be. I know you too well."
"So, what now?" asked Callie.
"I think we should take it slow for a while," said Marie. "See what happens."
"Okay," said Callie. "I like that idea. Do you maybe want to go shopping at Arrowana Mall?"
"Of course I would!" exclaimed Marie. "Let's go right now!"
"Yeah!" agreed Callie. "Right now!"
So they got in Marie's car and left for Arrowana Mall, their favorite place to go together.
Same old Callie, thought Marie.
