You thought of yourself as a worthless and weak human, living in a beautiful yet cruel world. You hear people call you 'useless' or 'a waste of someone's time' or 'Shit-head'. You were hearing these ever since the illness kicked in, leaving you handicapped.

It puzzled you how you could hear them, even though you're deaf. But, you could read lips and have learned sign language since the 3rd year of being handicapped.

You were bullied, laughed at mistreated and was disowned. Your family wanted a perfect child, not a broken one. You lived in the alleystreets cold and lonely. You were just thankful for being deaf because you believed that being hurt or mistreated emotionally and or mentally, it is far worse than any physical pain.

For the past 7 years, you thought you were a laughing stock to everyone in heaven. Until one day, while you were suffering with leukemia, a tall, lean brunette entered your life. He brought you home and took care of you.

"My name is Bertolt." you read his lips once they moved. He waited for your reply.

'I am (y/n). I am sorry for troubling you. I am deaf.'

Bertolt smiled as he shook his head, "It's alright, (y/n). You can stay here as long as you'd like. I always saw you in the alleyway when I leave my house. Why were you there in the first place?" you read his lips. You bit your lip and hesitated a bit. Then, you told him your story through sign-language.

"Oh, (y/n). I'm so sorry." Bertolt apologized you shook your head and gave a sad smile.

'I am fine. I have gotten used to it now, being alone and despised, laughed at and bullied. I must be strong for my own sake, no?' you signed, Bertolt gave you a hug.

"Then, from now on. I will protect you."

you swore you cried yourself to sleep in Bertolt's arms.

~TIME SKIP~

"Haha! You can't hear! You're a retard!" called a man and a woman who kept following you around. You kept walking and walking, hearing nothing.

Finally, as you made a turn. You realized that the two no longer followed you, you walked back and saw the two people on the floor, bathing in their own blood. You paid no attention to them and wrapped your arms around the murderer's neck.

'That's the 3rd time this week, Bertolt.' you signed as you looked up at the colossal man before you. You wiped the blood from his face and smiled.

"I can't let shitty wusses like them bother my (y/n)." Bertolt said, he pulled you closer by the waist and crashed his lips onto yours.

'We'll never let go of each other. Till death do us not apart.'

You found yourself grinning at your and Bertolt's twisted mind.

Okay, [Edit] I just realized I typed "Suddenly heard screams of terror" I'm sorry for the mistake! :V.
