[extended synopsis]
Cambions are doomed to tragedy. The byproduct of a union between a human and a demon, they are weak and sickly creatures, never living much past twenty, their duel nature destroying them. Ray resents being born a cambion. He has made certain he is not weak. He does not allow himself to be sickly. And he is going to live and rule his empire for a very long time.
Upon learning of the Crimson Sheath—an artifact capable of preserving his life—Ray is prepared to fight, kill, and steal to get his hands on it. He is not prepared for Landon.
The only inheritance Landon's parents left him was a dagger sleeping in a crimson sheath. He kept it through his childhood and carried it into his adult life. Given Landon's distaste for bloodshed, the dagger was never used for much more than chopping vegetables and filling the blank space in Landon's memory where his parents would have been.
When a white-haired maniac breaks in and steals the dagger one night, Landon vows to get it back, even if it means chasing Ray to the edge of the world and beyond it.

a) this is my first story on wattpad and i almost died when i pressed the publish button. it's also not fully edited so while the spelling and grammar are decent, it still has rough edges. given all that, i beg of you: be gentle.
b) this is a boyxboy story! if you have a problem with that, go read something else!
c) because i am sick of people asking this question: yes, there are (multiple) time skips! the characters are both adults before anything even resembling romance occurs.
d) i recommend being 14+ before reading this book due to content including profanity, violence, semi-graphic gore, mild drug and alcohol usage, references to abuse, character deaths, and morally-questionable people doing morally-questionable things.
