Savannah's POV

"Mom?"

"Hi sweetheart"

I started crying "Mommy" I ran over and hugged her

"Oh my baby girl look how beautiful you've become" her smile faltered when she saw one of my scars. "Baby I am so sorry your dad did this to you"

"It's okay mom"

"No it's not but you are so strong and I am so proud of you"

"Did you see I made the US national team?!"

"Of course I did little miss captain"

I was so happy to see my mom I didn't care about the captain nickname

"And your boyfriend is definitely a keeper"

"You like him?"

"Of course! I see the way he makes you smile"

"He really does make me happy"

"It doesn't look like he's too happy right now"

I looked down and saw Nate in a chair holding my hand with glossy eyes as I laid unconscious in a hospital bed.

"How long have I been gone?" I asked my mom

"Two weeks. He hasn't left your side since"

My eyes started to water as I watched him.

"It's time to go back sweetheart"

"But I don't want to lose you again"

"You have never lost me. I've always been right there, you just can't see me"

"I'm really happy with the Courts mommy"

"I know you are. When you go back thank Lauren and Andrew for me would you?"

"Of course"

"And I want you to tell Nate that if he ever hurts my little girl that I will haunt him. Not that I really have to worry about that. Oh and don't forget to say hi to Brooke for me"

"I won't"

"And honey remember I'm only one dream away"

"Come to my games okay?"

"I wouldn't miss one for the world"

"And if I get married some day even if you're not physically there will you still walk me down the aisle?"

"I would be honored"

I pulled my mom into a bone crushing hug "I love you mommy"

"I love you too my beautiful girl" I kissed my forehead and let me go as she became smaller and smaller as she waved goodbye. I closed my eyes and when I opened them I saw a bright light.
