A/N - WARNING: Angst

When Taehyung saw a purple shadow flutter by the window of his bedroom, he knew exactly who it was. So, he immediately kicked the sheets off him and ran towards the door, swinging it open and unintentionally shut it loudly. He clicked his tongue, sure that the noise would wake someone up. He stared at the long and dark hallway, looking around to ensure that nobody was watching.

Taehyung stepped out slowly, the floorboards squeaking underneath his feet slightly, being careful to not draw any attention. Now that everyone seemingly trusted him, the last thing he wanted was for someone to doubt him once more. Although, he was sure that if any of you even got an inkling of his initial plan, all the trust would instantly be gone. After passing three rooms, he turned on his heel and faced the exit.

Then, a presence, a shadow of a man seen through the corner of Taehyung's eyes.

Taehyung turned around so quickly that he nearly gave himself whiplash. The shadow was gone, the only light illuminated from his room. Did he not close the door? He was sure he did. Since his gut was telling him that someone was there, he decided to check.

Taking slow and careful steps, Taehyung's heart pumped wildly as he got closer to the open door of his room. Whether it was the growing anticipation or actual anxiety, he wasn't sure, but something inside told him of another presence. However, once he was standing right in front of his door, he saw nobody.

Taehyung sighed loudly, thinking that he was stupid to let himself be intimidated by nothing. So, he walked away from his room and continued on to the exit. Looking back once more out of instinct, he stepped out of the house and into the cold night, the frigid winds making him zip up his jacket as his breaths formed clouds.

And, standing right in the middle of the field, hidden within the purple mist, was exactly who Taehyung had expected to see. "Shay."

"Taehyung," Shay greeted as the purple mist faded completely, revealing her black tights, purple cape and new staff. Seeing the weapon made Taehyung aware, attempting to grab his own staff before releasing that he had left it in his bedroom, having absolutely no attempt to fight his sister. "I see that you have received my invitation."

"Why did you call for me?," Taehyung's voice was soft, the sight of seeing his sister up close once more denying any bit of anger he had inside him. Despite how she had fallen into their father's dark mindset and how she had attempted to kill him and his friends, he still thought of her as his little sister, the girl he had ultimately decide to protect with his life. He longed to hold her but knowing that he was an enemy in her eyes, he knew it was impossible.

"Since you denied my previous deal, I came with an offering, dear brother, a proposal straight from the King," With a stoic expression, Shay dug into the pocket of her armor and pulled out a white-enveloped letter. Taehyung hesitated, staring at the item before taking it, seeing the brand of Hel printed on its paperback. He wondered what his father had wanted to tell him, much more have it passed onto him by his sister instead of telling him himself. "It is for your eyes only. Father said so."
