Omniscient
It was a little past midnight and Kamille was still at the diner on a Friday night. School was currently kicking her butt and so was everything else. Monica had been gone almost all week with Demetrius all week so she was all alone.
"I haven't been seeing much of you lately Ms. Thang where have you been?" Ms Pat asked wiping down the counter.
"Well Last week Monica and I got our own place so I've been there."
"That wonderful! Where is it?"
"Midtown." I replied
"How are you liking it so far?"
"It's great a lot different than being home but it's alright for the most part."
"How are you and my son?"
"Fine-" I said sighing "He told you?"
"No you just did." She said smirking
I didn't even know how to respond. One being that we didn't even want people to know two I wasn't sure how Ace would react knowing she knows.
"We aren't even anything too serious it's just-"
"It's fine baby your a sweet girl and if anything I know i'd have to talk some sense into that son of mine cause I don't need him scaring you away." She said smiling at me "He has been walking around my house lately like the sun just don't ever stop shining and knowing you have something to do with that makes me that much happier."
"Im glad your happy" I said smiling at her
"What we smiling about?" I heard from behind me
"Nothing much" Ms. Pat said "You can go ahead and get ready to go im about to go make sure the back is alright." She said walking away smiling
"Wonder what she all smiles for." Ace said sitting in the chair at the bar and pulling me between his legs like he always does
"You missed me?" I asked laughing
"Do you even gotta' ask?"
Ace had went out of town for a couple days and they hadn't seen each other in days. The couple missed each other way more than they were expressing being that they just weren't doing the whole PDA thing.
"You coming over or you want me to come over?"
"Can you come over?" She asked as she looked at him
"If that's what you want." Ace said resting his hands on her lower back
"Can you stay all weekend?" Kamille asked shyly as if he would tell her no.
That was just another thing that Kamille knew and she used it to her advantage. She had poor Abdul wrapped around her finger and as much as he didn't want to admit it, it showed. She never even asked him for anything but for his time and attention so telling her yes was something Ace did without any hesitation
"You know we do this every weekend?" Ace asked amused
"I know but I just-" Kamille started "If you don't want to I understand"
"Kamille Im 'bout to go and check on the house then I'll be over there. Cut all that out you know I was going to be there even if you aint tell me to." He said standing up "Now give ya man a hug so I can go. I'll see you in an hour or two."
"Alright." Kamille said hugging him as he stood up
"I can't stand you bruh." Ace said smiling down at her
