Today after-school, you walked upto me, your hands in your pockets.

And you never realise how good you look when you do that but trust me, I do.

'Hey.' You breathed out.

Then with one hand you scratched the back of your neck and awkwardly said, 'Thanks for um...not telling my mom about our break-up when you two met yesterday. She told me that she met you and I was glad to know u didn't tell her.'

'Its okay. But why don't you want her to know ?' I asked, this question killing me since yesterday.

You looked uncomfortable. I wanted to drop the subject just to put you at ease but I really wanted to know the reason, so I kept quiet and waited for you to answer.

You finally said 'She likes you a lot. She was happy to know that I had finally got someone so good for me and I really didn't want to disappoint her by telling her that I hurt you. I hope you understand.'

'But don't you think she deserves to know the truth ? That infact, you did hurt me.' I spat.

You cringed at the harsh tone of my voice.

And you looked everywhere but me while saying 'Look I'll tell her soon. Okay? But until then just don't say anything. Please.'

You gave me a pleading look.

Was it wrong that all I wanted to do now was to assure you that I won't tell her and then kiss the hell out of you ?

But all I could do was nod and hope that you felt leastways half of what I felt for you.

'Thanks.' You said.

Then you turned around again and started leaving but not without saying 'Bye April.'

My heart skipped a beat.
It had been two months since you had called me by my name and it felt like heaven.

My name rolled off of your tounge like it was meant just for you to say.

And your voice like always sounded so good.

Like a mixture of comfort and tradegy.

Like music to my ears.

Like music to my ears
