Poem 73

I sat by the window, as the clouds threatened a storm,

I was cuddled under my blanket, feeling safe and warm.

I watched and waited, for the rain to shower,

I waited so long, maybe longer than an hour.

Soon the rain slowly began to hit the floor,

I only awaited this moment and nothing more.

Silently I watched, as the rain cried away,

I wanted nothing more than the rain to stay.

To just watch it calmly as the thunder roared,

Watching through the window, never had me bored.

Lost in my thoughts, but enjoying the weather,

Feeling humble, and lighter than a feather.

This is what it feels like, to watch the rain,

Sitting quietly and feeling sane.
