A/N: *unconsciously humming Copacabana because it will NOT stop playing in my head for some reason* BTW, sorry if these past few parts have been kinda vague. They'll get more detailed starting with the next part, I swear.

It had been over two weeks since the Queen's meeting, and now the entire continent was aware that a new war had begun. Older dragons feared for their children, remembering the war of Sandwing Succession, and how long it had lasted. Queen Moorhen had declared the Mudwings neutral in the war, refusing to let anymore of her subjects be harmed. But that only applied to the Mudwings that lived in the Mud Kingdom. It didn't include dragons like Squelch and his family, that lived in Possibility. Snowfall and Coral had deemed an immediate alliance between the Icewings and the Seawings. They were labeled as the hunters. Glory and Thorn had agreed years ago to ally with each other should another war arise, and they were right to do so. The Pro-hybrids, as they were deemed, included the Sandwings, Rainwings, and Nightwings. Ruby was still fair game, and undecided. Snowfall and Thorn focused on winning her over to their own sides, seeing as their armies were already prepared to fight at a moments notice. They simply had to sent out the conscription notices, and their work was done.

Preparing an army was a bit more difficult for Glory though, especially since a good portion of the Nightwings were against hybrids. Sure, they didn't mind that Joy would be their next queen, but they drew a line at the prospect of having a queen that was more Seawing than Nightwing.

Although it was now against the law for hybrids to be hidden in certain kingdoms, there were ways around it. The palaces of each kingdom were declared safe-havens. No one could attack them, or infiltrate them, or search for hybrids in them. It was for this reason that Queen Thorn declared her stronghold a safe place for hybrids to be. It was under 24/7 protection. They would be safe there, until the war ended.

Dozens of hybrids showed up, some of them with horrible stories about barely escaping the hunters, that were everywhere now. Others weren't so lucky. Dragons would come just to look around and see if they could find their loved ones. The hunters seemed to be everywhere, and they would show at an unexpected moment, and drag away everyone- hybrid or not. And it wasn't just Icewings. There were Seawings, Skywings, and even some traitorous Nightwings prowling around. Sometimes they were lucky and got away, but most of the time, they didn't.

One hybrid paced a cave underneath a hollow mountain in the sky kingdom, trying to figure out her next move. Her name was Cinder. She and her little sister had been caught by a pair of Icewings. Cinder had forced her sister to flee, and had stayed to fight them off. She didn't know what had become of her sibling, but a Rainwing had come to her rescue and had lead her to this mountain. There were dozens of hybrids gathered here, mainly for safety. Even though she was young, Cinder had managed to become in charge. The hidden group was no longer a pack of hunter bait; they were what could save hybrids as a whole. They were an organization. A cult, a secret weapon just waiting to be unleashed. They trained, they made weapons, they grew stronger. Cinder was the leader, and the Rainwing that had saved her was her right hand man, her general. His name was Canopy. Their mission was to help as many hybrids as possible- until everything was ready. Then they were to come out of the shadows and attack. They would show all of Pyrrhia that hybrids were not defenseless, and they did bow to a leader- one that deserved their allegiance. They were the Colors of the Wings, and they would not stand by the Hybrid Hunt. They would take it down.
