Emma's P.O.V.

1. Don't let anybody know who you really are.

2. Don't go anywhere alone.

3. Inform Alya and Nino where you are going and how long will you be gone.

4. Call to mom everyday

5. Don't go with strangers.

Those were the rules given by mom when she dropped us off at the airport. The last one was an old rule, but she said that she felt it had to be said. I was about to call Maxine to let her know that I'm leaving when mom snatched my phone away.

Apparently, no one has to know that Hugo, Louise, and I are leaving China. For safety measures. I wanted to call it bull, but I kept my mouth shut. Right now, Louise is trying to pry off a crying Hugo from mom's leg.

"I don't wanna go! Don't make me go! Mommy!" He cried.

Mom wiped tears that were forming in her eyes and took Hugo into her arms. Louise placed his arm around my shoulders protectively when a few guys were looking at me. One dared to wink at me and I shifted closer to Louise. Mom sighed and glared at them. She turned back to Hugo.

"Hugo, sweetie, it's for your safety. Don't worry. Mommy will catch the bad guys soon and you'll be home by then."

Hugo's cries lessened and he wiped his tears with his arm. Louise let me go and took Hugo from mom. She gave us a kiss goodbye and together, all three of us board the plane.

I sat down at the couch while Hugo laid down at the sofa turned bed. Louise sat next to him, trying to calm him down. The sight outside the small window showed us that it was early dawn and we would take off soon.

Just then, our pilot spoke from the speaker.

"Please hold on your highnesses, we are going to fly in a few minutes."

Hugo sniffed and I got his stuffed cat from the bag mom packed for him. He took in his arms with a death grip. He looked at Louise and I.

"Mommy and Daddy will be alright, right?"

I nodded, not seeming to say anything at all.

Louise took his role as an older brother and gathered us in his arms.

"It's going to be alright. Mom and Dad can take care of themselves. And besides, they have the guards to protect them. But for now, I'll be your guard. I won't let anything happen to both of you. It's just as mom said, 'being heirs has its downsides' but your older brother will always be here to protect you. I promise."

It was at the tip of my tongue to point out we were twins, but the look on Louise's face stopped me. He looked serious. More so than his usual self.

'We are now leaving China, next stop, Paris, France.'

At the sound of the engine, I felt it. All the feelings I was trying to block. All the sadness, anger, and frustration burst out like a dam. I knew my life for the next month will change. Is this what mom felt like when she had to leave China?

I looked at my brothers. And mom was alone. Unlike her, I have siblings. It must've been so hard for her. Louise brought Hugo and I closer.

"Both of you rest for now, I'll go sleep later."

We shifted around the small bed and landed with Louise at the left side with me on the right and Hugo on the middle. Louise wrapped the blanket around us and I felt safe. Times like this, I was happy to have an older brother. And Louise was the perfect brother for me.

"Love you bro."

"Love you two brats too."
