The New Choreographer (Yugyeom x Reader)

Chapter 3~ Dancing Day

You woke up around seven in the morning, quickly getting ready for the long day ahead of you. While you were making yourself a quick breakfast, your phone buzzed. You checked it was from Hyeong.

(Text Messages)

'Here's the music you have to choreograph for Got7'

You replied 'Thanks, Hyunggie I'll get started right away' you added a winkie emoji at the end of your text.

You set your phone down on your counter and continued making your breakfast. Since you grew up in many countries you knew how to cook lots of different foods. Today you made yourself eggs and toast. You wanted to eat something light so you wouldn't get sick later.

After you finished eating you grabbed your phone and your larger tote bag that fit your dance shoes, towel, water, mid-practice snacks and your small speaker to play music in. Today you decided to wear an old black band t-shirt you cut the sleeves off of with plain black leggings and a red and black plaid flannel around your waist. Your hair was tied up in a messy bun and you wore little to no makeup.

It took you about twenty minutes to walk to the dance studio at JYP. You had a car but you always preferred waking ever since you lived in Italy. When you got to the dance studio you unlocked the room with the key Hyeong gave you a few days ago when he told you about your 'reassignment'. You were told you would have the studio to yourself since Got7 was filming their fanservice show Real Got7.

The first fifteen minutes you were there you just listened to the music Hyeong gave you. It was a lot softer and had a way more romantic feel to it than you had expected and you really wanted to incorporate that feeling into the dance. Just over an hour passed and you had already written the first thirty seconds of the choreography of the Teenager. Because you weren't used to writing for boy idol groups you struggled to try to make sure the moves didn't seem too feminine but still feel romantic.

Around noon you decided to take a break so you sat down and pulled out an apple and a granola bar to eat. You sat against the mirrored wall looking down at your phone. Suddenly you hear the door creak open and you look up. It was JB and Youngjae. "Pardon the intrusion" They bowed politely as you waved for them to come in. You noticed behind them were three people with cameras.

"Do you need this room to film? I was told it would be open." You asked hoping you wouldn't have to move. JB waved his hand in front of his face. "No, we were told you were in here. We wanted to ask you for a favor" You set your half-eaten apple down on a napkin and stood up brushing your pants in case you got crumbs on yourself. "What do you need?" You asked hoping it wouldn't be to see the new choreography you have yet to finish.

"We want to prank Yugyeom tomorrow and we need you to help," Youngjae said with a kind of sinister laugh. As JB and Youngjae moved closer to you, you started to feel uncomfortable with the cameras pointed at you. "We want you during tomorrows rehearsal to pretend that Yugyeom is doing the routine incorrectly and get mad at him" JB explained.

You sighed, you knew boy groups pranked each other quite often but after one day you're already involved in a prank. "This isn't a prank on me or something right?" you made a suspicious face at JB and Youngjae. You definitely didn't want to be pranked. "No!" Youngjae assured "We like to tease our rude makane a lot" He giggled wrapping his arm around JB. "It's also for our episode of Real Got7 this week we have a mission" JB gave the actual explanation. For a moment you remembered watching some of the old Real Got7, back when Hyeong first told you about their antics. The videos you remember were of Yugyeom being pranked just like this, and he ended up crying in one of them. You felt bad for Yugyeom but with the cameras on you, you couldn't say no.

"Ok, but I want to make sure the rest of the practice you're all focused on learning and not goofing off" You smirked placing your hand on your hip as you looked at JB. You knew he was the leader and you need his assurance the other members would behave after the prank. "Yes, I will make sure we all work very hard to learn the choreography you teach us" JB smiled at you warmly. You could feel the leader type confidence from him.

"Ok, I have to get back to work you're welcome to stay or come by later if you want to talk about your prank" You smiled at both JB and Youngjae as they thanked you and laughed as they giggled to each other on their way out of the studio along with the three cameramen. You looked at the clock and noticed they had spent thirty minutes talking to you and basically wasted your quick lunch break. Once the door closed you picked your apple up and quickly finished it, tossing it in the trash before going back to work.

The next few hours went by quickly to you, no one else had come by and you finally got into the 'zone' and were coming up with choreography much quicker than before. At around ten minutes to seven, you finish writing the routines for the first two songs of Got7's new album. You grabbed a quick drink of water and decided to go through the entire routine of one Teenager. The hardest part of making choreography by yourself was that there were multiple parts to perform and only one of you.

As the song started playing, you had become completely focused on watching yourself you had ignored your surroundings. You were going full out definitely breaking a sweat. When the song ended you had bent over breathing heavily. Suddenly you jumped, and your heart started to beat fast when you heard clapping from behind you.

When you stood up straight you looked in the mirror and saw Yugyeom leaning against the wall by the door. "I can't wait to learn that" Yugyeom was wearing black ripped jeans with a red and white wool sweater. He looked extremely cute to you and it made you sudden conscience of your own sweaty outfit you wore. You didn't plan on seeing anyone most of the day and you didn't plan a cute outfit. "Haha, you scared me I didn't see you come in" You were honest as you reached for your water bottle from in front of you. "Are any of you able to do back flips I was thinking of adding one but I forgot to ask yesterday?" You added finally turning around to face Yugyeom, instead of looking at him in a mirror.

"Jackson and Mark are the best at it so you should give it to them" Yugyeom moved away from the door and walked closer to you. "That dance goes really well with the music, I'm excited to learn it tomorrow" He smiled. "I can show you your part if you want" Suddenly his eyes lit up with excitement. "Yes please" He looked so happy to you, it was cute.

You reset the music, starting it from the beginning. When you posed in the starting position you noticed Yugyeom had moved right next to you and copied what you were doing. When the song started playing you realized how quickly Yugyeom was able to match his moves with yours. He was definitely a fast learner. You looked at Yugyeom in the mirror and smiled as you danced together to the ballad style song. The faces he made while dancing would make any girl fall head over heels in love, including you.

The song ended and you and Yugyeom were breathing heavily. "I love it! Are we learning this tomorrow?" He asked. "No tomorrow I'm teaching you Moon U" you pointed the title on your phone "It's faster and has more difficult moves so I want to get it out of the way" you explained casually to Yugyeom. He nodded "Ahh I can't wait!" He smiled at you which made you blush.

"I better go now the rest of Got7 and I are playing some games in our dorm for Real Got7" Yugyeom started walking towards the door. Just before he left he poked his head from behind the door and said "I'm really happy that you're our instructor" He winked at you.

Your eye's widened in surprise, while you face turned pink in embarrassment as Yugyeom closed the door behind him. He was just too much more you, he was so attractive. You felt bad that tomorrow you would be pranking him, hopefully, he wouldn't be mad at you.

You stay in the studio working until about eleven. After you left you grabbed a quick bite to eat at a ramen shop, before heading home. After you showered and did your normal nightly routine before sleeping you thought about tomorrow. You weren't sure you would be able to keep a straight face as you yell at Yugyeom. He was so nice to you and you didn't want to prank him. But that was all going to happen tomorrow so you tried to forget about it as you went to sleep.
