Thank you for the motivation bookworms! I shall turn it in to inspiration and produce my work with it. Enjoy:

My days were becoming numbered. I had to attend a homeroom meeting with Mandy and usually when they call for that, it means that the new term was going to begin. Rolling out of bed and dressing slowly after waking from my very vivid dream of Shaun, I tried to get ready at the same pace as Mandy. She always woke hours earlier to take a shower, do her hair and makeup, have a little fashion show then spritz a heavy dose of vanilla essence on herself to let it diffuse as she drove.
We reached our college thirty minutes before we were wanted. This was a daily routine for us because we both hated being late for something even though it was bad being an eager beaver. Mandy checked her make up in the rear view mirror and I pulled down my blue hello kitty shirt which was doing a poor job covering my waist.
“You lucky fart only having to be here for a couple of hours. I’ll ask Lee to take you home because I’ll be in class until-“
“Uh please don’t! I’ll make my own way back,” I protested, looking at the purple car parked in front of us.
“Huh? Why not? You two could hang out again. It’s been a while especially with our curriculum,” she questioned.
“um,” I lowered my gaze to my hands before looking at her. “I-It’s complicated Mandy. Just don’t.”
I turned and reached for the door handle but Mandy locked the doors ensuring that my escape was not possible. Biting my bottom lip I sat back in my seat and sighed. Mandy leaned forward and tilted her head to get a view of my face. Seeing that I wasn’t going to give her the attention she wanted, she resorted to stabbing me with her forefinger in the side. I jumped and looked at her with a face cringed in pain.
“Don’t ignore me. I’ve always told you that I’ll kill for you but if you dare hide anything from me then I’ll kill you,” she threatened.
Rubbing my new injury I sighed. I know this is the love her and I shared for each other but she does go overboard often.
“Lee likes me and it’s just uncomfortable being around him,” I admitted.
Mandy licked her lips and folded her arms, repositioning herself to face me.
“But Lee is straight. He did reject you before yeah?”
“I know but he said he changed his mind. I don’t know why but I don’t want to mess up what I’ve got.”
“Which is?”
I frowned at Mandy and rolled my eyes.
“Shaun Mandy. I’m dating Shaun if you remember?”
“Oh,” she sounded. “I think Lee would be better by far. Shaun is a dip shit.”
“Just because I got hurt on the trip doesn’t make him a bad guy. He took me to the hospital and protected me from his homophobic dad,” I retorted with venom in each word.
Mandy frowned and unfolded her arms. We both stared outside our windows for a moment before she unlocked the doors.
“Don’t get lost on your way back. And don’t hate me. I just don’t want to see you hurt like before.”
My heart sank at the memory she referred to. That night was deeply embedded in my mind and no matter how many times I tried therapy or self help aids, I just learnt new ways to deal with it as opposed to resolving it. I turned to face her. She was looking at me too with a lopsided smile adorning her beautiful face. Smiling back at her, I leaned over the gear stick and hugged her tightly.
