The Dimensional Quest Part I: Journey To The Infinite

Chapter 18

Queen Chrysalis and Jack Rabbit continue on their journey of following the map.

The sky has turned to the dark of the night.

"Just how much farther do we go?" Queen Chrysalis asks with impatience.

"A long way. We should probably stop here for the night," Jack Rabbit figures.

"In case you didn't know, if we sleep, it will take longer for us to have domination!" Chrysalis tells him bitterly.

"Well in case YOU didn't know, I need sleep," Jack Rabbit responds.

As soon as Jack Rabbit is asleep, Queen Chrysalis flies to her minions.

"How much longer?" asks one of them.

"The rabbit says a long time, but don't worry, we'll get domination soon." Queen Chrysalis assures them.

Suddenly, she hears a rustling in the bushes, and she investigates.

Emerging from the brush is a wolf with grey fur and is wearing a blue street jacket.

"Why hello," Chrysalis says.

"What do you want?" the wolf asks in a deep raspy voice.

Chrysalis can tell from his looks he is the kind of guy she needs for her quest.

His eyes reveal hunger, anger, and a bit of despicable.

"Tell me: Do you want domination, as in complete control of everything and everyone?" Chrysalis asks in a tempting voice.

"Yes." the wolf answers.

A smirk forms on Chrysalis' face.

"I know just what can get that," she says.

Amethyst stares deep into the eyes of a buffoon.

The buffoon swings one of its arms at her but Amethyst jumps out of the way.

She fires a beam from her horn, which results in a direct hit into the face of the buffoon, but he shakes it off.

Kitty Katswell uses a device to wrap rope around the buffoon's legs, but it manages to break free.

Daffy Duck yells a war cry and he runs up to the buffoon, but is slammed out of the way, and is sent crashing into a glass building.

The five girls in their colorful dresses fire their beams at the monster, but it has no effect.

The buffoon swipes them out of the way as well, and is now staring down at Amethyst.

It clenches its fist and launches it straight at Amethyst.

Just before impact, Amethyst gasps and opens her eyes to be looking up into the night sky.

She turns to see Daffy, who is snoring heavily.

Amethyst gets up and sits onto a log, trying to collect her thoughts.

Then she hears footsteps approaching her from behind.

She turns to see Emily, who sits next to her.

"Hey, what's wrong?" she asks.

"I don't know, I guess...I'm scared of all of this building to nothing...and that we all fail..." Amethyst admits.

"Hey, we may fail, but we can also win. You just need to believe we can win," Emily says.

Her voice is gentle, like the wind that brushes against Amethyst's fur.
