Chapter 4

Mephiles' P.O.V

I yawn and stretch my arms. I get off of bed and walk downstairs. I see Dad. Dad looks at me and says, "good morning son." I walk to the dining room table and greet, "hi father. How was the trip to the abandoned kingdom." Father says, "eh... well... i mean I was able to learn more about the ancients." I ask, "What happened on the trip father?" Father chuckles and asks, "You actually want to know?" i nod. 

Father says, "Well... when on my way to the abandoned kingdom, I saw a cave with ancient texts in it." I ask, "Could you decipher it father?" Father says, "yeah. I did. Turns out it was a prophesy that our ancestors believed in. It said 'Two different classes of people bond, and a hero falls, no one strong enough to save the world.' I have no clue what that is supposed to mean. It is like three different things are being told." i say, "maybe they all are actually the same and it is just somewhat complicated. You have to really think about it. Maybe it would make sense." Father says, "You are right.. Oh I think I understand. If two different people from different classes like... royalty and a slave, a hero would.. die or get seriously injured, and no one has enough experience and strength to save the world from someone. Or something like that."

I nod and say, "Though, I have this feeling in my chest like... like it is actually going to happen." Father says, "So do I. By the way... Mephiles." I ask, "What is it father?" Father says, "I just want you to know this just in case. if you do fall in love with someone from another class, and this happens after you get together with that person, I would never blame you for it." I say, "I'll try to remember that father." Father smiles at me and says, "Good. Now let's have some breakfast." I say, "okay." 

{After a few minutes}

Silver and Queen Amelia comes downstairs. I ask, "where is Fleetway?" Queen Amelia says, "Your brother is still asleep. He sleeps like a rock." Silver says, "Even when I accidentally pushed him off the bed. He was still asleep. I wish I could sleep like that." Queen Amelia says, "Well I'm glad you don't." I say, "I'll give it a try." I walk upstairs and open the door. I walk up to Fleetway's bed and say, "Fleetway, Help." Fleetway's eyes open and he gets up. Fleetway growls, "Don't do that! You know how much that scares me! And you also know how much that hurts me." I say, "Sorry. There was no other way to get you up." Fleetway says, "Fine but... Just... don't do that again bro." I say, "I'll try not to but I will use it if you don't wake up from the others' attempts." Fleetway says, "Whatever." Me and Fleetway walk downstairs. Silver asks, "How did you get him to wake up?" I say, "It's a secret." Silver looked confused but shrugs it off. Thank god he didn't question it. 

Fleetway says, "Good morning." Mother nods and goes back to eating. Father asks, "Good morning. What would you like for breakfast?" Fleetway says, "Um.. pancakes?" Father orders a servant to cook pancakes for Fleetway. I ask, "What were you dreaming about? You seemed tense when I saw you sleeping." Fleetway smiles at me nervously and says, "uh... nothing. Nothing at all." I look at him confused. Maybe Fleetway just doesn't want to talk about it. I say, "Well, okay." 

Someone knocks on the door. Silver says, "I'll get it." After a few seconds, Silver came back with an envelope. Silver gives it to father and says, "Here you go father." Father opens the letter and starts reading. After he finished reading, father says, "I guess we will be getting company in 1 week." Mother says, "Give me that letter." Father gives mother the letter. Mother says, "Oh my, it is from King Sonic." I smile. King Sonic visits this kingdom sometimes. When I was young, if he had some time, he played with me, Fleetway, and Silver. Mother continues, "he is going to bring someone with him. I wonder who it is." Fleetway asks, "How long will he stay here mother?" Mother says, "For about 2 weeks." Silver cheers, "yay!" Father and Mother laugh at Silver's childish attitude. 

I smile even more and say, "I can't wait for next week." Fleetway says, "It isn't that exciting." I know he is lying. He is trying to not show he is excited but I can see past his lies. I know Fleetway is really excited to see King Sonic. But his pride wouldn't allow him to show his excitement in front of people. I think, "I do wonder who King Sonic is bringing. Maybe i can be friends with this person. Though I have a feeling I am going to get more than I bargain for."
