Ronnie's POV

We were driving home from Salvation Mountain.

It was around 5ish and the sun was already setting.

The girls had messaged me in our group chat

Lil' hoes'

Amanda: Ronnie? You there?

To Lil' hoes': yeah we are on our way back now. What's up?

Devyn: we want to go out tonight!!

Katrina: please come

Amanda: GUyS I thought we agreed that she didn't have a choice?!

Katrina: oh Yeah!!

Devyn: oh yas that's right we already decided for you

To Lil' hoes': wow you guys are so thoughtful

Amanda: I know right! See you when you get back haha

I laugh to myself in the back seat of Elton's new truck and locked my phone,

"I'm guessing you all got the message that us girls are all going out tonight?" I assume as I lean forward.

All the boys turn to look to me besides Elton who instead just glares at me in his rear-view mirror.

They then look amongst each other with confused faces,

"Oh.. it must of been a new decision then" I mumble to myself,

"Even Devyn?" Corey asks,

"All of us so yeah" I answer back.

Corey nods in agreement,

"Cool.",

"So where are you going?" Elton asks weirdly enthusiastic,

"We don't know yet but I think we are just going out to dinner and maybe for a walk down on Boulevard" I say from memory of what we would usually do when we used to go out.

God I missed going out with them,

"Wait Boulevard?" Sam questions.

I nod my head at his sudden curiosity,

"Wasn't there a stabbing down on Boulevard like last week?" Elton says as he turns off the highway and down the route that leads to the house,

"Oh yeah there was!!" Corey exclaims as he clicks his fingers rapidly, not sitting still in the front seat,

"How reassuring! Thanks guys.." I say with sarcasm.

We all just laugh it off and we pull into the drive.

The gate opens and we all get out.

Sam gets out first and Colby follows him since he was in the middle.

I go to open the door at my side but Colby beat me to it.

I felt like it was the first time we met again because I was a red as a tomato.

He never failed to impress me.

I stepped out, thanking him.

He leaned in close as he shut the door behind me,

"Just please be safe tonight.." he whispers in my ear.

I gulp and lean back, agreeing with him.

I knew that he was cautious and worried but I couldn't live in this fear.

I wanted to live my life and exshaut everything I could do while I'm young.

I lean back in and hug him tightly,

"I will be okay. I will call you as soon as I feel uncomfortable, alright?" I reasure him.

I could feel his head moving in agreement against my shoulder.

I could hear his throat moving and he was now laughing.

I place my hands on his chest and push him back lightly.

Why was he laughing?

"What?" I chuckled as I watched him just look at me with a big cheesy grin,

"Colby what is it-".

I scream as he lifts me up over his shoulder and charged into the house.

I wish I never grew up..
