[ chuckles quietly, feeling himself smile ]

[ chuckles nervously and then sighs ]

"I'm shitting myself just talking to you right now."

"And why's that? You have nothing to worry about."
[ shuffling in the background is heard ]

"It's just..."
[ sighs deeply ]

"We've become good friends in the past month or so- and I value our friendship with all my heart, and I'd hate myself if I were the reason we fell out."

[ furrows brows before breathing out, ]
"You're scaring me... but I can promise you that whatever you tell me won't ruin anything."

[ pauses for a moment and says sincerely ]
"I swear by it."

[ inhales deeply and chuckles ]
"Alright, okay- Well... do you remember when you were at my house and we were both really drunk?"

"Oh dear God, what did I do?"

"Uh... it's more of something we both did. Together."
[ chews on her lower lip, mouthing words like, "why are you like this?" or "fucking hell, val, really?" ]

[ purses lips and stops moving for a moment, remembering the accounts of that night clearly as realization hits him ]
"Wait a minute... you remember what happened?"

"Yes I remember- why? Do you know?"
[ is utterly confused and leans against the counter, pondering for a moment before gasping loudly ]
"Did you fucking lie to me, Hiddleston?"

[ tries to find the right words but begins to mumble incoherently ]

[ chuckles bitterly ]

"Out of everyone I wouldn't expect you to lie to me. Did you know how long I was freaking out about this? A lot! That's what! I can't believe it-"

"Val-"
[ sighs deeply ]

"I didn't mean to cause you such trouble. I didn't tell you I remembered because I was afraid that it would ruin our friendship. Like you were freaking out earlier. Neither one of us wants to lose what we have right now."

[ scoffs and rolls her eyes ]
"You should've thought of that before you lied to my face, Tom."

"You didn't tell me either-"
[ winces at his own words, knowing that it wasn't a wise thing to even say ]

[ let's out a mocking laugh ]

"Yet who's the one who asked about it the day before? And who was the one going to tell them what happened if the other didn't remember? Oh right, me."

[ grows frustrated and groans ]
"You know what? Talk to me when you're actually willing to tell me everything. I'm not going to keep doing this right now. You're an insufferable ass who doesn't have the balls to tell me anything!"

"Valeria! Wait-"
[ jumps up from his seat as his voice grows louder and desperate, praying that she won't hang up ]

[ sighs and brings the phone away from her ear then whispers ]
"Bye Tom."

[ her finger hovers over the 'End Call' button for a few seconds before pressing it ]

[ looks down at his phone in anger and sadness, falling back into his seat ]
"Shit...."
