I watched in silence as he turned around and left the room. The thought of having to sit through dinner with him sounding about as appealing as eating my own throw up. But, as much as it pains me to say it; I'm afraid of him. He's very unpredictable, and I don't want to the reason for another one of his dramatic mood swings.
I reluctantly pick up and unfold the outfit. Which consisted of a pair of black skinny jeans and a light brown, strapless top. And he was even considerate enough to leave me a pair of nude heels to complete the look. Great. I absolutely hate heels. I can barely walk in them and my feet end up hurting after just fifteen minutes. But for the sake of his temper, I put them on.
I'm surprised when I come to find that everything fits like a glove. How he knew my exact measurements, I don't know. But it makes everything that much easier.
I walk back into the bathroom and rummage around for a brush. And smile when I finally find one in the cabinets under the sinks. I brush through my semi-dry hair and decide to just leave it down, hoping that I'll be able to get away with doing the bare minimum with my appearance.
It's not long after that Vincent comes back into the room. He again, looks at me with clear lust in his eyes, but tries to hide it by looking away.
"Come with me." He extends his arm out, and I grab his hand. He somewhat gently pulls my body to him and wraps his arm around my waist, leaving me confused. I don't understand how one minute, he's threatening of punishing me, and the next he's being all touchy-feely.
He guides me out of the room and down a long corridor before we make it to the stairs. I slowly walk down, trying not to trip in these stupid heels. We soon reach the dining room and it's then that I realize we have company.
There's two other men sitting at the large table. One of the men very handsome. Dark brown eyes, and brown hair. And exquisite facial hair. His posture was straight as he sat in the chair, making his muscles clearly visible through his shirt.
The other man was blonde, green eyes. He had much softer features, but was no less intimidating.
"Leah, this is Leonardo and Andreas." He says as he gestures over to the men. I give a half hearted smile, but it quickly fades when I notice the blonde one, Andreas, intently staring at me, almost as if he was studying me.
"Do I know you from somewhere?" I narrow my eyes as I try and remember if I've seen him before.
"No, I don't think so."
"Hm, I swear I've seen you before, but maybe it was someone else. Anyway, it's nice to meet you." I nod in response, and look over at the other man, Leonardo, who hasn't said anything since I arrived. His attention was focused off towards the side of the room.
"Have a seat, Leah. Dinner will be out soon." I sit down at one of the empty spots, not to my surprise, Vincent sits next to me.
"Did you make any progress tracking the Tallios?" Vincent's strong voice breaks the somewhat awkward silence and Leonardo snaps his gaze back over to us before he shakes his head.
"No, sir. Not yet."
"Keep trying. I'm done with all this back and forth shit, it needs to end."
"Yes, sir."
Right as I'm about to ask who the Tallios are and what they did to make Vincent hate them so much, a young girl, no older than sixteen, walks out of the kitchen.
"I'm so sorry about the wait, we ran out of ingredients, and I had to make a run to the store." The young girl says as she slightly fidgets with her hands. I can tell she's nervous in the presence of all these big, intimidating men.
"It's quite alright, Arabella." Vincent dismissed her statement with a wave of his hand. She nods her head and heads back into the kitchen, not before sneaking a look at Leonardo. He watches as she walks away, and it makes me wonder what his fascination with her is.
As soon as she left, she was back again with three other servers who set plates of food in front of each of us.
"Thank you, Arabella. You are dismissed for the rest of the day."
"Thank you, sir." She then makes her way up the stairs and retreats into one of the first rooms on the left of the hallway.
I look down at the large plate in front of me, and am astonished at the amount of food that they expect me to eat. The three men have already dug right into their meals while I just sit there.
"You need to eat, amore. I can't have you getting sick, now can I?" His words were gentle, and not demanding like I expected them to be.
I slightly nod my head and eat as much of the food as I can, which turned out to not be that much. The plate was still have full by the time I had completely stuffed myself.
"Are you finished, amore?"
"Yeah."
"Alright, go back upstairs and wait in the bedroom, I have something I need to do."
