(Sasuke X Reader) The Eyes That Capture

Chapter 8

"Hey, y-you..."

You call out to sasuke but he doesn't seem to notice. He keeps on walking towards the door to get out of the classroom. Your meeting with kakashi and the others has ended, so everyone is heading home. Including him.

But you have something to say to him, and you've been trying to call him. However, he doesn't notice you and you can't seem to speak out his name.

"Hey, wait a minute!"

You reach out to grab his hand.

He turns to look at you, wearing the same uninterested expression as usual.

"What is it? "

He asks indifferently.

"W-well... "

Slowly, you let go of his hands. Your view is fixed to the floor, fidgeting on how to tell him your gratitude.

"I-i... Want to thank you for before. I mean, for introducing me to your friends. I... Appreciate it, really. So, whenever you are free, come over to the restaurant. It might not be much, but I'd like to treat you for a meal. "

You say, still looking towards the floor. You don't know what kind of reaction he's wearing right now. He might be laughing at you or trying to ridicule you. He might even reject the offer.

But, you mean everything you say.

The hallway falls quiet for a while. Both of you are not muttering any word. Sasuke just stares at you while you are still fidgeting, not being able to look at him in the eyes.

Suddenly, he turns his back towards you.

'Is that... A no? '

The thought stir your mind.

"Alright. "

His answer startles you. You lift up your head in shock.

"However... " he tilts his head to the side a bit, enough for you to see his smirk.

"Treating me for a meal is really a bad idea, you know. I mean, who knows what i'm going to order? "

Then he departs.

What?!

Sasuke continues his walk, leaving you with your mouth hanging open.

You've started to regret giving him that treat, when he stops in his track again.

"Oh, and one more thing. "

He mutters, with his back still facing you.

'What now?
Is he trying to mess with me again?'

You are about to give him a piece of your mind when he suddenly speaks something that halts you on your words.

"My name is sasuke uchiha. I haven't introduce myself yet, right? "

Your eyes widen.

"Learn to call me by my name. If you keep calling me by 'hey' or 'you', I'm not going to answer you, you know... "

His voice trails off for a while before he continues,

"In other words, what I'm saying is that, call me sasuke, [name] "

Your heart skips a beat when he mentions your name in that low voice of his.

Then, sasuke walks away, leaving you alone in the hallway.

Your heart is still thumping loudly from what happened just now.

Don't call him with 'hey', or 'you'. Means that he knew you were calling him before, but he didn't answer just because he wanted you to call his name?

You touch your pounding chest.
