"Someone has been here... " Laur frowned while his eyes scout around the cave's opening.

"That's fine...  The traces of scent shows that the previous cultivator that resided here went out for more than a week already. " Theo declared nonchalantly as he reached for Yulrir's hand and trotted inside the cave without hesitance.

"If brother Theo said so,  then we must not doubt. " Fenella,  the petite woman chirped in as she pushed Laur towards the cave's mouth.

"Yeah yeah!  Let's all go inside!  The sun is almost down!" Eavan,  the woman with blessed body added while urging the others to go in.

"Stop pushing aishhh!" Valmont, the blue-uniformed guy cried out as he reluctantly steps into the cave.

The cave's mouth is only around 5 feet in wide and 8 feet in height, allowing only 2 people to go in at a time.  The cave's entrance maybe a bit narrow but after around 7 or 8 steps inside,  the passage started to expand and it is now 3 times wider than the entrance itself.

"I feel like I was entering a human's stomach..." Valmont muttered to himself.

"Oi oi oi! Can you not say something nasty like that!" Laur kicked Valmont's knee out of instinct.

"Awwww!"

"Woww!  It seems like whoever senior that once resided here anticipated that other people may stray from this cave and left some useful tools in here." Eavan said excitedly as she looks around the spacious cave.

The cave was big enough to accommodate 18-20 people in it and surprisingly also have a narrow passage leading to an underground lake which can be used for bathing and rinsing.

There is a rack of roughly-made arrows, bows and simple spears at one side of the wall and some neatly folded blankets made of beast wool near a pre-made stone bed. There are also carvings and writings all throughout the cave's wall that looks like a mini-map of the realm. The cave was also especially lit by a fire-type array that usually used by establishments as a source of light.  In short,  the cave itself is like a small safe house. The group was pleasantly surprised with the discovery and took their own spots inside the cave.

Theo took one of the folded blankets and spread it neatly to a spot near a corner. Theo sat on it as he motioned Yulrir to sit by his side. Yulrir peacefully complied and nestled his body close to Theo. Theo with a gentle look on his face whispered something to Yulrir as the latter one nodded softly.

The surrounding members of the group can't help but feel out-of-place with the ethereal feeling that the two gives off. The girls settled themselves near the couple as they curiously look at the two. Laur and Valmont sat at the opposite side of the couple and started to eat dry rations from their spatial ring. The atmosphere inside the cave was indeed a bit awkward as no one had dared to speak at all.

Theo noticed the awkwardly tensed atmosphere and spun his head around looking at the other members of the group.

"Let's all take a rest for the night. The cave's vicinity is safe so rest assured." Theo said in a calm tone.

"Mhmm. Let's all then do that and take off early in the morning to the ruins." Laur added with a nod.

The members of the group all nodded and relaxed on their own space.

"Uhmm, Brother Theo?" Fenella mumbled softly looking a bit hesitant.

Theo who realigned himself to envelop Yulrir within his arms had turned his head towards the petite lady.

"What is it?"

"I don't mean to be rude but what did you see on Junior brother Yulrir and made him your Dao companion...?" Fenella said in a soft voice.
