author's note pt.4

okay first of all, jesus christ

4k reads?? this is actually insane oh my god tHANK YOU

this is so freaking cheesy but wow i can't even believe it

cuz wowow that's a whole lot of human beans that read my poetry

and hopefully enjoy it lol

second of all, i just wanna say that i don't always write about people that exist. sometimes i like to create and describe a fictional character and give them a little story cuz that's what i do. i'm a creative writer lol.
but yes, sometimes i do write about someone in my life that has impacted me in some way.

in case you're curious, the ones about real people are:
-envy & assumptions
-cloverleaf daydreams
-the boy who didn't deserve the pain i put him through
-the blow of painful reality
-the blow of painful realization
-my ginger lifeboat
-why is my shield of innocence fading so quickly?
-the perception of an omniscient

i'm pretty sure that's it so far. so yeah, ones like "the boy with the heart of gold" are about someone that i made up and is completely fictional

the reason i'm specifying this is in case anyone i know irl reads this and wonders who i'm talking about (cuz that's happened before lol)

third of all, wow. this is technically part 151 (i have a few drafts lol). wowow i've written a lot of poems lol. it's kinda hard to believe that only last year i claimed multiple times that i couldn't write poetry

i hope someday i'll find the confidence/courage to show these poems to more people

it's really difficult to be vulnerable tho, especially to irl people. cuz by showing someone something you've created, you're showing them a piece of your heart that's tender and sensitive, and you're giving them the choice to rip you to shreds and destroy you or to welcome you with warm arms and a glowing smile.

and yes, it's midnight and probably a bad time to write this hahahaha

sorry for getting deep

it's just that i've been finding myself in a few situations lately where i've been given the choice to be vulnerable or to harden my mask more

okay well anyways
