After Gu Qing Pei and Zhao Yuan finished their dinner, he first sent Zhao Yuan back home.

When they were having dinner, Zhao Yuan told Gu Qing Pei that she recently met a man. She felt that this relationship was quite reliable and she was going to observe for some period of time before making any decisions. If she felt they were suitable, then she was going to get married.

Gu Qing Pei felt happy for Zhao Yuan.

Then, he immediately had to face with a failed marriage, to deal with his parents, relatives, ex-wife and a series of issues that could create endless headaches. At that time, his social status and personal relationships were already established and steady. He had been a normal person for twenty years and one day, he suddenly found out that he was actually a "different kind". The impact was much more serious when compared to the situation if he were to find out about his sexual orientation earlier while he was still a youth. Back then, he did not have anything to his name, and thus, got nothing to lose.

It took him a very long time before he could accept this fact. Having a passionate moment with man allowed him to find the right feeling. But he was afraid that no one would ever believe that he, who had a stable personality like that of Mount Tai in outsider eyes, was actually a person who once encountered a confusing moment in terms of love life during those few years in the past.

However, he managed to overcome the waves of panic and anxiety successfully. He also confessed the truth of why he went for divorce to his parents. Both of his parents were teachers. Although they had a conservative mindset, they were sensible and understanding. Plus, Gu Qing Pei was the only child in the family and he had a successful career. Because this matter was solved before the big conflict could come to him, he could calmly confront his own sexual orientation.

After Gu Qing Pei accepted of his difference, he felt quite relaxed as he no longer rushed into marriage. He would go on a few dates when he met a suitable partner and broke up when he felt they were not suitable for each other anymore. From time to time, the male partner beside him came and went. The number of his lovers was not considered many, it could be counted two to three men only.
