RIVER

I can't believe she's making me do this.

I hope she doesn't expect Davion to be alive by the end of the day, because she told us to do something fun and killing him would be very enjoyable for me.

After I gave Thia a ride home, she shoved me out the door and told me to go find Davion and Caleb.

So here I am.

In the pits of Hell.

Sighing heavily, I cast bitter looks towards the two b*stards eyeing me wearily. Well, Celeb is, Davion's being  d*ck and smirking at me annoyingly. "I'm going to kill you, twerp."

While Caleb looks legitimately alarmed, Davion's smirk just widens. "You can't," he says like he has some dirt on me, "Your little girlfriend would kill you."

Wrong move on his part. Bringing my princess up right now, I miss her like hell. After the attack on us earlier, my worry has skyrocketed. Which is why I gave her a little 'present' to keep an eye on her.

*Flashback*

Walking her up to her front door, I swallow thickly at the thought of saying goodbye to her. What if those jack*sses come back while I'm gone?

However, she doesn't seem to care about my concerns as she tries to shove me back towards the car, "Shoo! Go spend time with your brothers!" Of course, I don't budge, but still...

Already worried beyond belief, I desperately take in her wild black curls and bright blue eyes as she scowls up at me. "You'll call me if anything happens?"

Rolling her gorgeous eyes, she sighs in exasperation, "Yes! Now leave before I make you! I will literally remove you from the premises with my vicious guns," she threatens adorably, flexing her tiny biceps.

Unfortunately, this only reminds me of how vulnerable she is. My baby could not protect herself if her life depended on it. With a clenched jaw, I glance around us at her quiet neighborhood for possible enemies. Besides a twelve-year-old dog walker, no one is visible at my angle.

Fisting my trembling hands, I slip the silver necklace, that I planned on giving to her at the park, from my pocket and hold it up for her inspection. "This is for you, Angel."

My love for her multiplies as her face lights up with excitement. "Oh my gosh! Really?!"

I should give her gifts more often.

Practically bouncing, she beams up at me with gratitude and happiness shining in her gaze. "It's beautiful! I love it, thank you, River!" She lunges forward but ignores the necklace and lands in my arms, giving me a tight hug.

Returning her hug, I press a kiss to her soft bed hair, "Of course, baby."

When she pulls away slightly, I clip the silver chain around her pale neck, letting the small white diamond rest on her collarbone. But little does she know, behind the sparkling rock rests a small tracking device. Just in case.

*Flashback Over*

Nevertheless, the thought of not being able to see her has me unstable and touchy as I drive towards the shooting range.

Just because I can't kill them doesn't mean I can't make them sh*t themselves.

"Dude, just shut up," hisses Caleb, my only intelligent brother, hitting Davion upside the head.

Davion glares angrily at him, smacking his hand away, "Back off, wimp. Don't you realize that he can't hurt us?"

"He's our boss," bristles Caleb in reply, sending him a warning look. As if I'm not right here.
