JUNGKOOK POV:

"She's getting comfortable with me, I guess."

"Make sure she does. It'll make things easier. Is Namjoon home yet?"

"Nope. His business trip got extend. He'll be home in two weeks."

"Hmm. Good. It'll give you enough time to get your work done. Remember, don't ruin the plan, Jungkook."

"I get it, hyung. Don't worry. Gotta go."

I ended the call at the same time Hyejin walked down the stairs. She walked to the kitchen with a frown on her face.

I'm not a person who cares about other people but her solemn mood irked me a bit.

"Breakfast?" She asked. I shook my head as I've eaten a cereal at my apartment already.

"You don't have to send me and pick me up today."

I furrowed my brows at her. As if she knew that I was about to ask why she smiled at me, forcefully.

"I kinda wanna be alone today. So yeah. I hope you understand. You can stay home or go anywhere you want."

She grabbed an apple before heading out of the house without further argument.

"Hate to admit it but her attitude today make me feel what concern."

I waited for a few more minutes before heading out too. Following her of course. It's my job to protect her after all.

I whistle along my way to the uni. Winking and flirting with girls that I met on my way. Some of them blushing, some of them even fainted.

That's how handsome I am.

I arrived in front of the gate. Glancing at my watch that I still got hours before Hyejin's classes end. I pulled out a pack of cigarettes from my pocket. Taking out one before shoving the other back into my pocket.

Inhaling the killing smoke into my lungs, I puffed it out as the smell lingered around me.

I pulled my phone out before dialling a familiar number. The line connected after a few beeps.

"Finally, after 14628291001 years, you call."

I rolled my eyes. "You're being over dramatic, Jimin hyung."

He nagged about I barely called him, how he missed me so much, how I always skip my meal bla bla bla. I inhale the addicted stick named cigarette again.

"My computers- wait, Jungkook, are you smoking?"

I decided not to answer him. He didn't like me smoking. Not at all.

"Kookie, you do know you're too young to die. And smoking? I thought we've discussed about you stopping, haven't we?"

"I am. I barely smoke now. Just out of boredom."

"You always bored, Kookie. Just don't smoke too much. Anyway, I heard that you got a new job."

I hummed. "How is it?"

"Worth one since it involves Namjoon hyung."

"Shit. Namjoon? You mean, the Kim Namjoon?"

"Yeah. Interested isn't it?"

"Damn Jungkook. You better be careful. Well, you call me at the wrong time since I'm working right now, call me later kay. Bye, take care Kookie."

"Okay. Bye Jiminie hyung." I hung up the call. Finishing the last bit of the cigarette, I threw it onto the ground, stepping on it with my timberland. I sat on a nearby bench while playing games that I've downloaded in my phone.
