It was a normal typical day for me I was riding the bus surrounded by a bunch of goofy boys being loud and obnoxious. I was sitting in a seat across from Carl Grimes a kid that was pretty popular at my school. The boys were talking about things that I wasn't quite paying attention to since I had my attention focused on the trees that we were passing by.
"Hey Kely" I heard Carl's voice echo throughout the bus. I was always more of a quiet girl but I wasn't afraid to talk to boys.
"Ya," I said turning my attention to the boys.
"Would you kiss my friend?" He said pointing towards a short browned haired and blue eyed boy. He wasn't overly nice to everyone and he kind of pissed me off almost every day with his attitude. He was overall not a good guy what so ever.
"He looks like Pinocchio and if I kissed him he would probably poke my eye out," I said with a little bit of a sassy tone. Everyone on the bus went wild laughing and yelling different things, but that guy deserved it for the way he treats people.
"Would you kiss me?" Carl asked out of the blue and soon everyone calmed down and waited in anticipation to see what I would say. My heart started to race at Carl's question.
"No," I said shaking my head and turning back to the window so no one could see how red my cheeks were.

Skip To Monday:
After school was done I wasn't paying attention since it had been a long, boring and stressful day. I stood up and got off the bus and to my bus stop until I realized I wasn't in my town and the next bus stop was mine. I sighed as the bus left knowing I now had to walk across town to get to my house.
"So you really wouldn't kiss me" Carl's voice rang in my ears as he came up behind me.
"Well um..." I said trailing off trying to figure out the words to say. Carl was nice and he always talked to me in a nice way, and he was cute but I never thought about him that way until Friday when he asked me on the bus if I would kiss him. It bugged me all weekend I couldn't sleep that whole weekend. I hung out with my best friend and we talked for hours about it but I still couldn't make up my mind.
"Cause I mean I would kiss you," He said which caused me to stop in my tracks.
"Really?" I said raising my eyebrow.
"Totally," He said.
"I don't think you have the guts to kiss me," I said trying to cover up how much my heart was racing and how red my cheeks were getting. All of a sudden I felt a pair of lips on mine and my eyes widened in shock. CARL GRIMES JUST KISSED ME! I shouted in my head.
"Guess I proved you wrong," He said with a smile as he walked off.
"Wait... you can't just kiss a girl then leave," I said chasing after him.
"Look Kely...I like you a lot, I have for a while and I couldn't stop thinking about you saying no the whole entire weekend" He said which caused butterflies to erupt in my stomach.
"Really," I said quietly.
"Ya," He chuckled.
"I like you to," I said with a small blush appearing.
"Well, that's good to know" He chuckled. "I'll walk you to your house," He said walking in the direction of my house.
"Thanks" I smiled.
A few blocks down Carl and I had our fingers intertwined. As we reached my doorstep I gave him a quick kiss goodbye and watched him walk off around the corner back to his town. This was going to be an interesting school year.
