I Need To Rant!

Hey everyone, so as you can tell from the title, this is going to be a rant. I'm going to be ranting about TWD, specifically the death of a certain character.

Ok. I'm gonna assume that if you're still reading you have either already watched the mid season finale, or don't care about having stuff spoiled.

Rant time.

All fans of TWD know that the show has been going downhill for a while now. The writers have pulled some really stupid shit. Don't get me wrong, I still love the show, but it's gotten worse as time has gone by.

I believe that the writers have put the final nail in the coffin that the show is going to be buried in.

Killing Carl was a HUGE mistake.

Carl is really the heart of the show if you think about it, even though he's not in many episodes.

He's really Rick's main motivation to keep on fighting and living, and yeah, we have Judith for that, but in my opinion she is a completely pointless and useless character.

Let's be realistic for a second. Judith would never have survived. If a baby was born in a zombie apocalypse it would be dead within a very short period of time. They would never have found enough baby food and formula to keep her alive. But, even if somehow they managed to find enough to keep the baby alive, having a baby is a huge danger to everyone around, because babies are loud. Judith would have gotten the group killed time and time again while they were out on the road.

I think that Judith should either never have been born on the show, or have been killed off early after she was born (as horrible as that sounds, I'm not a psychopath, I promise), similar to the comics where she is shot and killed, along with Lori, when the governor attacks and destroys the prison.

Now, back to Carl.

I know the show is not supposed to be exactly like the comics, and I'm not saying I want it to be, I actually like that they've changed stuff from the comics and done things that didn't happen in them. However, Carl has an absolutely amazing storyline in the comics that happens after All Out War, and its a storyline I was looking forward to seeing on screen. It wouldn't even have to be exactly like the comics, but if it was similar that would be great.

The show writers could very easily killed any other main character and had a similar, I'd not exactly the same result from it. People are probably going to hate me for what I'm about to say, and that's fine, hate on me all you want.

I think that Daryl should have been killed off instead. Don't get me wrong, I like Daryl, I like him a lot, he's one of my favorite characters, but there's not much more they can do with his story at this point, at least in my opinion. And his death would have had the exact same effect as Carl's is likely going to have.

Rick, Michonne, Carol, and many of the other characters are going to completely change their views on the war. They'd realize that fighting each other is stupid, and they should really be coming together instead of killing each other.

Another character that they could have killed instead is Morgan, they would still have gotten a very similar effect as killing Carl or Daryl. And I think that the only thing that stopped them from killing Morgan is that they decided to have him move over to Fear The Walking Dead.

Ok, I'm done ranting for now. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Carl's death, whether you think killing him was a good idea or not.

Now, I've heard a bunch of theories about possible ways Carl could survive (however unlikely that is) and I know his death has pissed off MANY fans of the show, some of which have said they are done with the show, no joke, I've seen a bunch of people say it (hell, even I thought about stopping watching it, but have decided I'm gonna stick with it).

Anyway, I have a hashtag to do considering those theories, some of which could very easily be done without ruining the show.
