Without another thought, we all ran out of the house and in the direction where the mate bond was leading us. The thought of what he did to our mates had us wondering how low it would take before they were one hundred animal.

Seeing as it would take us forever to get to them if we kept up at this pace and Alejandro would have a better chance at finding us again, I suggested we call on to the shadows.

It was very dangerous for a witch to call onto a shadow because that was some very dark magic every witch has been warned about. If done wrong  and the shadows do not want to obey, there's a ninety percent chance they will kill you.

Seeing as there are three of us and we have been around for quite some time, our chances of dying are lesser, probably around eighty to eighty five percent.

Taking in a deep breath, we all grabbed one another's hands and began to chant. "Skiés, akoúo tin kravgí mou kai káno ópos léo. Anoíxte mia pýli kai stékeste dípla stis plevrés mas." (Shadows, hear my cry and do as I say. Open up a portal and stand by our side.)

Everything was quiet as we waited for a response from them. It was taking a very long time and I was beginning to wonder whether they planned on killing us.

Suddenly, long dark hands started reaching up from the ground and behind the trees. Soon, everywhere we looked were shadow figures looking at us.

Their dark eyes staring deeply into our soul as if they hadn't decided what they would like to do to us just yet.

After a minute went by, they all bowed their heads before forming one body and stretched out their arms to us. They had agreed and was ready to help us.

We let go of one another's hands and walked into the shadow one by one. To get them to take us to where we wanted to be, we had to all think of the place or person.

I was surprised that they actually decided to help us but then again I'm not. I had already lost all connections with white magic the day I signed that contract.

In a blink of an eye we were in some kind of clearing that was surrounded by the woods. The shadows bowed their heads once more and then vanished into nothing.

"So where should we search first?" Elise asked, looking around the place. I had kind of expected the shadows to bring us directly to them but at the same time, we are all searching for different people.

I was about to speak when Anna cut me off. "Shh, listen." Her eyes quickly scanning the place as she turned in all directions.

That was when I heard the sound of many wolves running from all directions and they were all heading towards us. They were running at a very quick pace and I was beginning to get worried.

Many negative thoughts were racing through my mind and Elise's combined fear didn't make it any better.

What if they were fully animal? Maybe they won't recognise us even with the mate bond? Would they eat us?

Maybe this was a wrong idea.
