The spring semester just started and August, Autumn and Summer found themselves in a new school. Eugene helped them as best as he could, but he was in the advanced four grade classes just like Oliver, Olivia and the rest of Callie and Lexi's kids and all the rest of the grandchildren were in advanced classes, minus August, Autumn and Summer. They were in regular classes.
"How was school?" the moms' asked since it started a few weeks back. The triplets seemed hurt and upset. "Ask Eugene!" the three added as they went to do their homework and chores. Eugene came in and sighed.
"What happened?" Cassie asked. Charlotte came in since she went to go after the triplets.
"Why did you not eat with your siblings?" Charlotte asked in a tone she never used with Eugene as his eyes and Cassie's eyes went wide in shock. Tears blurred his vision and he wiped them away and Charlotte sighed and felt bad.
"Because he can't," Callie added. "Eugene go do your chores and homework."
"Yes nana," he added as he got his things as he eyed his mama and mommy.
"Why can't he eat with his siblings mama?" Cassie asked.
"Eugene and the rest of the kids as well as your nephews and nieces are in advanced classes at Anchor Beach and the advanced classes have a different time for lunch and recess," Callie added.
"Oh," the moms' added. "We'd better talk with them."
Cassie and Charlotte found the triplets in the kitchen doing their homework. "Hi babies."
"He was mean," they added.
"He wasn't. Eugene and the other kids' are in advanced classes and their recess and lunch is actually before you three have recess and lunch," Cassie added.
"Oh. So he's smart too?" they asked.
"You three are smart as well," the moms' added.
"Not smart for advanced classes?" the triplets asked.
In the front room, Eugene left with Caramel to the backyard. His chores were done and he eyed Oliver. "What's up?" Oliver asked as he was doing his homework with Chocolate, Thunder as well as Olivia's puppy. All three were asleep. Caramel went to join them.
"The triplets. Something's wrong," Eugene added. "I can't play with them at recess or eat lunch with them."
"Because they aren't in advanced classes," Oliver added. Eugene nodded.
"Let's do our homework in my room?" Oliver asked. "We can get Olivia too?"
Eugene nodded as they got Olivia and the three did their homework together.
In the basement home, "Where did he go?" Cassie asked.
"In the backyard?" Charlotte asked as they went to find Eugene. The triplets went to do their homework as the moms' went to find their youngest son.
Callie went to find Eugene as well and went to find Oliver. She opened the door to find her youngest set of twins and Eugene in Oliver's room.
"Hi mama," the twins added. "We did all our homework," they added as Callie nodded.
"Eugene your mama and mommy are looking for you," Callie added. "Why did you not tell them?"
"They were busy," Eugene snapped. Callie nodded as she went to get Cassie and Charlotte as they ran in and hugged him hard.
"I'm sorry. You two were busy like always with the triplets," he added. They both sighed.
"This was not okay though," they added. He nodded.
