I walk into the training area and stand next to Luke watching as Monroe and Asher practice at hand to hand combat with a few other gang members.
"How's it going?"
"They have complete opposite fighting styles. Monroe is better with guns and Asher is better at hand to hand. Both are struggling with the other."
"Did they choose code names yet?"
I ask before Monroe speaks up.
"I'm Deadbolt!"
I raise an eyebrow a smirk playing on my lips.
"Of course it is. And what about him?"
I ask gesturing to Asher.
"We haven't decided."
Monroe says turning to meet his gaze before smiling.
"I'm thinking iron heart though."
"What? No."
Asher shakes his head punching his opponent in the gut.
"Why?"
"It sounds kinda girly-like you."
He teases causing Monroe to send a glare.
"Why don't you walk over here and see how girly I can be."
Monroe or Deadbolt threatens holding up the wooden knife used for practice and training.
"Okay."
The two trainers back off stepping back to meet Luke and I's gaze.
"We'll take it from here."
I nod causing them both to walk off to get a drink.
My eyes shift back to Monroe and Asher.
"Oomph!"
Monroe lands back on the mattress with Asher leaning over her smirking in victory.
"Jerk."
She grumbles earning a chuckle.
"I love you too."
Asher says leaning down to press his lips against hers in a small kiss.
"Hey! Stop making out and get back to training."
Luke orders causing Asher to pull Monroe to her feet.
They both get into their stances ready to attack.
"I should go ask Blake if he can get the supplies-."
"I already did."
Luke says and I nod.
"Thank you."
"No problem."
"So, you think they're ready?"
"Lets see."
I walk up to Asher and Monroe with Luke by my side.
"Luke is better with sniper rifles then me. So Monroe, I want you to go with him to the targets for practice."
"And Asher?"
Monroe asks and I smile.
"He and I will be practicing hand to hand combat."
"Okay, good luck!"
Monroe says turning around and following Luke towards the targets.
"You too Princess."
Princess?
"Awe."
I tease noticing her cheeks flare a bright pink.
I chuckle turning back to Asher.
"So, are you actually going to let her go through with this whole Blood Arrow thing?"
I ask grabbing a wooden knife.
"I can tell when she's serious about something. She is not going to let you do this on your own."
I dodge an attack and take a few steps back to wait for an opening.
"If I was in your shoes I'd lock her in a room until this is all over."
"You've been her friend for a very long time. You should know by now that she'd find a way to help."
I scowl knowing he's right.
"If she gets hurt-."
"I won't let that happen."
Asher interrupts his expression determined.
He then trips me sending me back to the floor with a loud thump. The wooden knife pressed to my rib cage.
I look up annoyed.
"You'd better not."
I warn before swinging my foot causing Mr. Skyscraper to fall to the floor on his butt.
"Rule number one. Don't hesitate."
I state getting to my feet and holding out my hand to help.
"Anything else I should remember?"
He asks as I pull him to his feet.
"Don't get arrogant. Arrogance puts you in danger."
"Will do."
"Again?"
I ask causing him to nod before attacking once again.
"So, how'd you and Monroe Meet?"
"I was walking down the hallway when she face planted into my chest."
"Ah, adorable. So was it love at first sight or something?"
"Not exactly. We started off on the wrong foot."
"Must be an interesting story."
I smile causing him to nod in agreement.
"Yeah, probably for a different time though."
"Probably."
I agree as the four of us continue with our training.
It'll be time to leave soon.
After training we'll grab something to eat to regain our energy before heading out to attack Blood Arrow's base.
I just hope nobody gets hurt.
