Dusk took advantage of his Nightwing looks as he silently crept from JMA and into the night. Unbeknownst to him as he snuck out, was that a dragon followed him, walking with much less stealth, and much more swagger.

As dawn broke, Dusk stopped at a river to rest. He was close to the Sandwing Kingdom, but still far from his destination.

"You know, you really should try to look less conspicuous if you're going to sneak out of somewhere." a voice announced. Dusk jumped and whipped around, his tail lashing.

But all he saw was Haze's slightly bored expression.

"Haze!" he exclaimed, calming down. "You scared the hell out of me! What are you doing here?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Isn't it obvious?" she asked. "I'm following you."

"Why?"

"Because when someone sneaks around all ninja like in the middle of the night, it means they're up to something. And when that someone is you, then another person should definitely come along to supervise and make sure you don't die."

"I am not going to die!"

"Well that depends. Where are you going?" Dusk narrowed his eyes.

"Why should I tell you?" he demanded. Haze stared at him.

"Because I'm here? Cause I'm going to keep following you and would prefer to know what it is I'm flying into?" Dusk hesitated for a moment before responding.

"I'm going to find out what my father is hiding about his past."

"And how exactly are you doing that?"

"I found an address on the back of a scroll for a place in the Scorpion Den. I'm just gonna find out more information." Haze stared at him like h'ed grown an extra eye.

"Are you insane?!" she exclaimed. "You're going to trust a random gang address you found on the back of a scroll?!"

"....Maybe?" She threw up her hands.

"And here I thought you were supposed to be the intelligent one!"

"No, I'm pretty sure that'd be Boysen."

"Ya think? And it's no wonder- Boysen has a brain, which is more than I can say for you." She shook her hand in shock. "The Scorpion Den. Unbelievable. Have you ever even been there before?" Dusk paused.

"...Well, no, but-"

"But nothing! You are a hybrid. A Nightwing hybrid, which only makes things worse, and you're looking for some random dragon who's address you found on a scroll, hoping that he can tell you more about your father's past?"

"Yea, that about sums it up."

"DO YOU KNOW HOW ABSOLUTELY CRAZY THAT SOUNDS?!"

"...No." Haze stared at him for a moment before winding up and smacking him across the face. He let out a yelp at the impact.

"Does it sound crazy now?!" she demanded. Dusk winced and clutched the side of his face.

"It's a perfectly reasonable plan!" he retorted.

"No, a reasonable plan would be tying your father to a chair and torturing your desired info out of him! This is hare-brained!"

"What?"

"Hare-brained! Ludicrous!  Stupid, foolish, idiotic, absurd, ridiculous, preposterous, farcical, laughable, risible, nonsensical, imbecilic, cockamamie, half-baked, impracticable, unworkable, ill-conceived, senseless! Any one of those ringing a bell?!" Dusk raised an eyebrow.

"What, did you kiss those synonyms out of Boysen?"

The words had barely left his mouth before Dusk found himself in the river. Haze kicked at him in the water before storming away.

"HEY!" Dusk yelled after her, revolted at the water coating his scales.

"You wanna be stupid? Fine! Then let's go!" She announced. "I doubt you even know which direction to fly in, moron!"
