How was yesterday?

Jack

Ok.

We picked the jury.

I like them. Humans.

12 jurors, one alternate.

Today in deep water.

Cross examination of the cops.

They are still telling stories contrary to their own body cams.

First, we let them reel out the lies. Gave them plenty of room to slap on the bright paint, and make their stories all sexy and heroic.

Then, we confronted them with the facts and transcripts.

Suddenly, their huge, engorged story starts to droop.

But getting resistance and heavy flak from the DAs.

Judge about to enter. Shhhhh!

Jack

Trial is getting brutal, and we are punching hard.

DAs trying to exclude our evidence. DAs fighting tooth and nail to keep out their own police videos.

They know the videos expose the cops' perjury. 17 cop videos and the DAs have objected to every one we have tried to admit. Hope the jury sees this.

Anne is going to testify as our authentication witness to bring in the videos. It may be tomorrow. If you could start a dialogue with her by text to refresh her on the production details, that would be great.

Ok, I think I need our technician Ethan to write it out with me. He did almost all of the process. We will start with receiving copies of police files.

Worked till 2am. Up at 5.

Walking into Court 7am.

Anne will text you. She has a few questions.

So tired. Heavy sand in my mouth and veins.

But still hitting with both fists.

We got it covered. Already talking to Anne.

Note: Jack and Gary attempt to play the police videos for the jury. The DA objects on multiple technicalities and the jury is not able to see the police videos. The jury actually sends a note to the Judge asking that the Court allow the videos to be entered. The request is denied. Gary and Jack decide to RUSH/FLY Ceci's video technician Ethan from Detroit to Colorado. Ethan's testimony will be offered as part of a second attempt to play the police videos for the jury.]

Ethan will do it (fly to Colorado).

Should we talk to Ethan directly?

He would have to fly from Detroit to Boulder and testify tomorrow at 8:30am, about 11 hours from now.

Ceci

Yes. Call now so he can go to sleep for a few hours.

He's in Anne's text group.

He wants to know what to wear.

We need his full name on his driver's license, date of birth, etc. to book his flight.

You booking flight?

Jack

Yes.

Ethan should be on a jet home. We got him on the witness stand.

He testified well and valiantly, but the DAs still kept the police videos out.

We close with the Jury tomorrow.

He was sending messages here and there.

He says you're really good at your job.

Jack

He did really well. But DAs are hell bent to exclude the police videos.

Pretty sure the jury sees this. Hoping the jury knows exactly what's going down.

It's a cover-up.

Ethan still wears that BIG watch. Reminds me of Transformers robots.

I heard the DAs showed their video and you were not allowed to do the same with yours.

I hope jury finds that logic as confusing as I do.
