ashton looks at me with fear in his eyes. he's afraid of being hurt, as we all are, but i'm not planning on letting him be hurt by me.

"i won't hurt you. not intentionally, i swear. i know you've been lied to and hurt before- i can give you so much more.

"ashton, will you please be mine?"

ashton looks up into my eyes before looking down and blushing a deep shade of red. "yes, luke, i will be yours as long as you will be mine."

placing my index and middle fingers beneath his chin, i lift ashton's head and smile down at him. the urge to kiss him is there, yes, but damn, i am too nervous. what if he doesn't want me to?

so instead, i smile and say, "thank you. let's get going, yeah?"

i fold up the blanket, pick it up with the box of pizza and throw them back into the back seat before opening ashton's car door for him and letting him sit as i move to open my own door to take him home.
