Piper groaned, crawling out of her bed in the institute and walking to Alec's office. It had been two days since she emerged from the lake coughing up its contents and every time she slept she dreamed of the surface, reflecting her image through the crystal liquid, up was down and down was up.

Shaking it from her head she flicked her braid over her shoulder. Sitting on the wooden desk she watched the raven haired boy.

"So I heard that you wanted something?" He asked and she nodded, making a grand motion with her hands the sound of rain flooded the institute.

"Come with me" Piper grinned dragging him reluctantly after her. "You've got a stick up your ass."

"I don't!" He argued, her grey billowing dress around her knees as she drug him to the courtyard. "What are we doing?"

"Dancing in the rain." I rolled my eyes. "Obviously." I released my hair from it sbraid and took off my shoes leaping into the rain and spinning around letting the droplets soak my skin.

I don't know for how long he stood there watching me leap about but I soon lost myself in the thunder the lightning and the rain.

Seeing her dancing in the rain, the sky pouring down on her, making her grey willowy dress stick to her skin. Red hair in tendrals of wet. Thunder was her music and lighting her stage light. She was absolutely perfect, her angelic body and face, stark black runes scattered over her cream skin. Small smile on her lips, and hidden behind her closed lids brilliant bright eyes. He couldn't help it, he needed a moment of happiness in the stress of this awful day.

Alec removed his jacket, letting the rain soak his own clothes as he went into the courtyard as the girl looked at him.

"I know, I know, we need to crack down on catching valentine, I just needed this storm." Piper sighed, but he smiled shaking water from his hair.

"No, I need this, I need you." He admitted and she pulled his hands with hers. Making them dance together trough the storm. They both laughed, blinking watery eyelashes. Then she wrapped her arms around his neck and Alec smiled.

Piper had expected him to pull away but his lips captured hers in lust and passion. She could feel all of his stress melt into his love, his want, his hope. She met his Kiss with equal emotions, closing her eyes and hearing the lighting come crashing down around them.

Memories flashed through her mind, every smile, every laugh, every fight, every yell, every heated moment, everything. Piper remembered it all. Alexander Lightwood.

"I remember everything." She grinned at his shocked face. "Alec lightwood your my addiction, my drug." She shook her head. "I'm a fucking fool for you baby."

"Marry me?" He asked her and she was shocked. Piper loved him, the way he laughed at her quirks and kissed her like there was no tomorrow. The way he played Robin Hood on missions. Alec Lightwood hadn't rescued her by freeing her from her dragon, he released her by giving her a bow and arrow and telling her to kill it herself. her eyebrows shot up, she wanted to marry this man. Getting down on one knee and taking her hand. "I don't have a ring and I haven't asked Izzy or anyone, but marry me Penelope."

"Yes." She grinned as he smiled so brightly at her, holding her in his arms. "I will marry you Alexander Gideon Lightwood."

He laughed with joy as the storm stopped, and they stood dripping water everywhere in the hub parting ways reluctantly.

Pipers smile never left as she changed into black jeans and a Forrest green cropped tank on, then she slid on her black leather jacket and let her wet hair air dry as she walked through the institute. The blaring alarm alerted her that a downworlder had entered the institute.
