THE FOUR SAT in a circle, patiently listening to the walkie as El did her best to channel Will again. They were in Mike's basement, listening to the whimpers coming from the walkie.

"We keep losing the signal," Jasper sighed, facing the three boys. "But you heard it, right?" She asked hopefully.

"Yeah," Lucas scoffed. "I heard a baby."

"What?" Jasper asked in disbelief.

"Jasper, you obviously tapped into a baby monitor," he scowled. "It's probably the Blackburns next door."

"That didn't sound like a baby to me," Mike spoke defensively.

"Mike..." Lucas began.

"Lucas, you don't understand! He spoke this morning, like actual words. He was singing that song he likes, like I said," Jasper exclaimed, glancing at Eleven. "El heard him, too!"

"Well if the weirdo heard him, then I guess—" Lucas started again.

"Are you sure you're on the right channel?" Dustin questioned, his blue eyes fixated on Jasper's.

"It's not like that," Jasper shook her head, placing a hand on Dustin's lap. "Somehow, she's channeling him."

"Like...like Professor X," Dustin mumbled excitedly, his eyes growing huge.

"Sure," Jasper nodded, letting out a small laugh.

"Are you actually believing this crap?" Lucas said scornfully to Dustin.

"I don't know, I mean..." the Henderson boy trailed off. Suddenly, he shot up, glancing back at Lucas. "Do you remember when Will fell off his bike and broke his finger? He sounded a lot like that."

Lucas rolled his eyes, facing the entire group. "Did you guys not see what I saw? They pulled Will's body out of the water. He's dead!" He snapped, his cold eyes pointed at Dustin.

The curly-haired boy look at the ground sadly. "Well, maybe it's his ghost. Maybe he's haunting us." he suggested, his blue eyes flashing towards Jasper again.

"It's not his ghost," Jasper shook her head in denial.

"So, how do you know that?" Lucas questioned challengingly, throwing his arms in the air in frustration.

"Why can't you just trust me, Sinclair?" Jasper fired back, rolling her eyes. "I just know."

"Then what was in that water?" Lucas hissed.

"I don't know!" Jasper cried, getting worked up. "Hopper asked me this morning if I thought Will was dead and I told him no."

"What the hell was Hopper doing at your house?" Mike asked disdainfully.

"Because he's my dad!" Jasper announced in a yell. She began panicking as she realized she had just revealed one of her biggest secrets. "He, uh, he told me something else. Joyce Byers saw the Demogorgon last night!"

"Wait wait wait," Lucas held out his hands, his eyes narrowing at Jasper. "Hold up, Hopper isn't your dad. I remember your dad. He used to drive you to school and he would always order pizza when we came over."
