"Brie, tell me." Lara whined, "What happened to his other personal maids?"

"Are you ready?" Brie asked and Lara looked really impatient.

"Brie, hurry." Lara looked at her sternly then adjusted her scarf, "We don't have all day. Mrs. Benson is coming today."

"Alright, alright, don't remind me." Brie rolled her eyes and pushed her light brown hair behind her ear.

She began, "Your dear boy Jayden, has ruined the lives of many. The first life he ruined was of his first ever personal maid, Florence. Can you imagine that he had sex with her, knowing very well that she was 23 years older than him. And when Mrs. Benson found out what was going on, she tortured that woman. She was jailed for child molestation meanwhile it was all Jayden's fault. He came onto her."

Lara's mouth was parted. She was speechless.

"I haven't even begun, Lara." Brie shook her head and continued, "His second personal maid, Kira, disappeared after working for him for a year. Rumor has it he went beast mode on her and she couldn't handle it."

"What?" Lara's eyes were bulging.

"Uhuh." Brie continued, "His third maid, Josy, was sacked and shamed for being caught behaving inappropriately with him and I promise you the shame lives with her up till today. Mrs. Benson made sure to ruin her life, permanently." She stressed on the permanently.

"Brie..." Lara was trying to digest.

"His fourth personal maid, Meena. Now that's a story. He was in college by then so stuff went down only when he came home during vacation. D'you know how that story ended? She died."

"What? How? How Brie?"

"She killed herself because of him."

Lara's hands flew to her mouth and her eyes looked as if they were going to fall out. She couldn't believe that these things actually happened to girls who were in the same position as she is now.

Brie continued, the other girls nodding and sighing along the lines. "They hired another maid weeks after, and after 6 months of working, she resigned abruptly. She never gave a reason. Tess filled in but for only a week because he went back to college, and then you came to this home, helping out in the garden." Brie paused and everyone's eyes were now on Lara.

Brie continued, "He stayed longer on campus this time. You never knew him. We hardly spoke of him. For a complete year and over he didn't step foot home. Till he came recently and met his new personal maid, Lara."

Lara's heart was beating now, completely out of fear.

"Lara," Brie said, "Beautiful, cute and innocent Lara. Mrs Benson gave you the role because oh she heard so much of your good girl behavior, your decency and most of all your discipline. She knew you were an upright person who couldn't even hurt a fly. She trusts you."

If Brie had said those last three words many days ago, Lara would have been jumping for joy. But it was different now. She did not deserve that trust because she was just like the others.

Katy spoke, "And they always fall for him. But can we blame them? I mean, look at him. He's perfection. Absolutely beautiful."
