Niall's P.O.V.

I lay there, next to Audrey, running my fingers through her hair as I watched her sleep. I kissed her cheek softly and she smiled in her sleep, I remembered the time she asked me to kiss her at the stadium and I smiled realizing how far she has come as a person in such a short time. Suddenly I was wide awake, so I slowly pulled away from her, making sure the covers where tucked around her perfectly. I walked to the couch, picking my phone up off the coffee table I saw I had a couple of texts from a few people. Ed Sheeran, Pedro, Olly Murs, Liam's Mum, and My Dad to name a few.

"Don't!" Audrey gasped. "Please, take me instead." She whispered, catching my attention. I walked back over to her only to find her asleep. Maybe I was just imagining her voice, I sighed and realised I at least should try and go to bed. Carefully I kissed her head and smiled at her. She was just so beautiful. I sighed again and headed to the door.

“Niall?” I heard Audrey say, I turned to face her and she was facing me the covers brought up to her chin,

“Yes love,” I asked walking over to her and sitting next to her pushing the hair out of her face.

“Will you stay with me?” She whispered softly, her voice slightly quavering, I nodded giving her a soft smile.

“Sure thing,” I said kissing her forehead, “I'm just going to change.” She nodded and closed her eyes.

I quickly left and went to my room, I walked in and noticed, gratefully, Louis had gone to bed. I quickly changed into some sweatpants and a T-shirt and brushed my teeth before going back across the hall. I opened the door and Audrey was laying there where I had left her. I walked over and hesitated, what if she had been asleep when she asked me and wonders why I'm here in the morning. I shook my head and crawled in next to her, putting my arm around her and she snuggled into my chest, facing me.

“Niall,” She whispered sounding as if she was fighting tears,

“What is it sweetheart?” I asked running my fingers through her hair.

“I'm scared,” She said softly and I felt a tear drop onto my arm,

“Scared of what, honey?” I asked hugging her close.

“I'm scarred that- that Joey will find me and make me come back to live with him and Sherry.” She said, “I'm afraid that this is all a dream and that I will wake up and it turn out that it was just a regular van full of regular people that almost hit me, and I have to live a regular life... without you.” She said sounding truly scared. “I'm afraid that this, is all a dream.” She said holding me closer, I put a finger on her lips stopping her from saying more. I started singing softly to her knowing it would calm her,

Like all those days and weeks and months I tried to steal a kiss

And all those sleepless nights and daydreams where I pictured this,

I’m just the underdog who finally got the girl

And I am not ashamed to tell it to the world

Truly, madly, deeply, I am

Foolishly, completely fallen

And somehow, you kicked all my walls in

So baby, say you’ll always keep me

Truly, madly, crazy, deeply in love with you

In love with you

I hummed the rest of the song feeling her relax against me, slipping back into unconsciousness. I lay there thinking about her words. I closed my eyes and quickly fell asleep.

I woke the next morning to the wonderful smell of food reaching my nose, I sat up and looked around. Audrey was standing at the little kitchen, still wearing her night shirt and cute shorts, fixing what smelled like eggs and toast. I watched her as she cooked, noticing things about her I don’t usually see, like how she crosses one leg in front of the other when she’s standing still, the way she purses her lips when she’s concentrating, the way her copper hair almost reaches her lower back and shines in the sun, and how she keeps bouncing her foot against the floor. She scooped up the eggs on the spatula but they slipped off and back into the pan, she scoffed,

“All I ask is if you would go nicely on to the plate, but no, you want to be difficult.” She said to the eggs scooping them up again and successfully putting them on a plate, I chuckled and she looked up startled. “Niall, oh my goodness, you scared me, I thought you where still asleep.” She said leaning back against the counter her hand against her heart. I got up and walked over to her,

“Sorry love, it's just that the only other person I’ve ever heard talking to food is Louis and well, we know how crazy he is.” I said giving her a hug,

“I wasn't talking to them! They just weren't listening to me.” She said frowning slightly,

“Mean, mean eggs.” I said laughing and kissing her head. She leaned back still entwined in my arms,

“Umm Niall where is your shirt?” She asked her eyebrows furrowed, I looked down and noticed for the first time I was topless, just in my sweats.

“I usually don’t sleep with a shirt on, and I guess I took it off in my sleep.” I said shrugging, thankful that it was just the shirt I took off. She smiled and shook her head,

“Problems. You have problems.” She said pulling away fro me to finnish the breakfast,

“Where did this all come from?” I asked, taking a bit of toast,

"In the fridge. I didn't want to go downstairs by myself for food and I didn't want to wake you. Plus it gave me a chance to remember my breakfast making skills." She said, laying some scrambled eggs on a slice of buttered toast.

“Where did you learn to cook?” I asked as she pulled out some forks.

“Me mum,” She said copying my accent, I was impressed.

"Not bad." I said, making her smile.

"I try. "She said handing me a plate. We walked over to the sofa and sat facing each other. At first we just ate and talked but then it turned into a game to see who could catch the most pieces of toast in their mouth with out missing, I tore off a piece of bread and tossed it. Audrey caught it easily, I threw another piece and she got it again, she eventually got up to sixteen.

“Beat that Horan!” She yelled smiling triumphantly, I smiled back,

“Okay throw it,” I said holding my mouth open, she tore off a piece and tossed it, I caught it and smiled wider getting used to the game. After another three minutes we where almost tied, 15-16,

“Okay almost there.” I said, she laughed and tore off another piece, she tossed it and I missed, She threw up her hands in victory, “No!” I yelled covering my face with my hands and sliding onto my back.

“I am a champion!” Audrey yelled fist-pumping the air. "And that nominates you for dishes." She said, smiling. I sighed dramatically and picked hers and my plate up and taking them to the sink.

“What are we doin' to day?” She asked watching me from the couch, resting her head on the side of the sofa.

“We’re going to New Mexico, the drive will be really long but at least it won't be boring.” I said placing the washed dishes on a clean towel to dry.

“Hmmm okay,” She said, rubbing her fore-head. Just then a knock at the door interrupted our simple morning. Audrey got up and answered it. "Hey Liam. Yeah he's here." She said, letting Liam and Marco into the room.

"Audrey, can you go with Liam for a minute. I need to talk to Niall for a second. In private."
