STORM CLOUDS ROLLED INTO HER EYES, DARKENING THE GREY HUES THAT USUALLY SHONE. The warrior took a look around the table, wondering if any of them were actually considering it. There was no way there would ever be peace between the sky people and trikru, not after innocent lives were lost. She watched as an older man exchanged a sympathetic look with Lincoln.

"No." she spoke harshly, averting her gaze to Anya, who still remained as stoic as ever. "We will not have a peace treaty with them."

Silence was the response to her statement as Anya's eyes lowered to the table deep in thought. Nela looked around the table again, noting the leaders who refused to make eye contact with her.

"They're children, Nela," Lincoln informed her, his eyes almost pleading for her to shut up and agree to it. "All of them except one. They're all children, some younger than your second." He gestured to Thesda.

"And?" she questioned him, placing her hands on the table and putting her weight on it. "We were all children when we began training. We were all children in war, we've all seen children in war. Do you think Azgeda would care if one hundred of our children landed in their territory and killed innocents?"

"They didn't know what they were doing." he protested, defending the sky people. "It wasn't on purpose, it wasn't a malicious act. I'm very sorry your village got hit by the flares, but they were only trying to send a message to their people."

"So there's more of them," Nela confirmed, glancing around at the other leaders. "There's more of them, so what're they going to do to us when the rest of them land? Do you suppose they'll just leave us alone when the rest of their people join them? They're just children and they've killed thirteen of our people. Imagine what will happen when their parents and leaders arrive."

A few of the leaders surrounding the table nodded in agreement, others shook their heads in either disagreement or disbelief. Nela didn't know whether she was winning or losing as she glanced at the trikru leader. Anya still had her head down in thought, weighing a heavy decision in her mind. Either way, someone wouldn't be happy.

"They don't even know what they did. I know that if you tell them they will be sorry." Lincoln continued to argue for the sky people. "They don't deserve to be slaughtered like animals, they can't even defend themselves. It's an unfair fight, and even you are against an unfair fight, Nela."

She glared at him in silence, grey eyes growing darker and angrier by the second. She would never fight in an unfair fight, that was something all warriors were trained to do. There was no point in fighting a fight if the opponent couldn't fight back. It was a cruel and immoral thing for a warrior to do.

Nela pulled back from the table, crossing her arms once again. Her face ridding itself of its angry features and going to its usual stoic expression. Silence fell among the room once again, and she inhaled sharply, refusing to show her true emotion on her face.

The anger was bubbling in her stomach, slowly but surely. Thirteen of her own people had died at the hands of the sky people and Lincoln was deadset on making sure none of them got hurt. They had already committed an act of war after landing on their territory, none of them should've been spared.

"Do they want to meet?" Anya finally spoke, raising her head and looking straight at Lincoln, whose eyes turned to meet hers immediately.

"Yes. Their leader, Clarke, she has agreed to meet with you." he relayed the information to his leader.

Anya stayed silent for a beat before straightening up from her position. "Fine. I'll meet with their leader."

Nela's jaw clenched her jaw, inhaling sharply at the announcement. She could only hope that Anya had a deeper plan than simply meeting with their leader. Her best friend couldn't just push her village aside without a second thought for peace.

"You're all dismissed," Anya spoke sharply, and the warriors began filing out.

The blonde started towards the door, feet hitting the ground with no sound. Her second trailed behind closely, following her mentor, determined not to fall behind again.

"Not you Nela."

She was stopped just as she reached the door. Thesda bumped into Nela, muttering a hushed apology of embarrassment as the taller warrior turned around. Her eyes shot a steely look at Anya, her anger getting the best of her emotions.

"What is it, Anya?" she questioned the leader, holding her head high.

"I need your best warriors," Anya commanded, "We're going to be walking straight into an ambush and we're going to end this before they try anything."

A smile worked its way onto Nela's face, grey eyes almost immediately clearing up. Anya had put her through a swing of emotions, but at the end of the day, Nela had gotten what she'd wanted. "Only if I get to come along."

"You're still healing, Nela," she responded, nodding towards her left leg. It was badly burned in the village fire, but she had gotten attention from the best healer from trikru. She was walking through a lot of pain, but she was still going. "I can't put you in harm's way."

"Nothing is going to happen to me, Anya. We are strong and smart. We can end skaikru without any harm coming our way."

"Fine," Anya said, turning from the table and towards Tris, who had remained in the same position as from the start. "Tris, go get Ovid to round up our warriors."

The youngest girl in the room nodded and exited the room. Anya shot Nela a look over her shoulder, sending her a message. She looked to her second. "Thesda, go find our warriors and meet up with Tris." She ordered.

Thesda copied Tris' actions and shuffled out of the room. Anya watched the young blonde leave and then looked at the warrior in front of her. "Let's discuss the plan, then."

Nela smiled at her friend and closed the door to the war room. Blood would finally have blood.
