Summer was lost between a commotion of feelings as she got ready for her date with Lexis.
She was angry, humiliated, at the fact that she was played by that excuse of a human, Rihanna.
And her heart beat anxiously at the thought of a date with Lexis. She both hated and loved the outcome of this reveal.
She perfected her make up and put on matching accessories. The yellow rose earrings matched a necklace and a ring. Each rose was about three inches in size. They definitely screamed for attention and Summer liked that.
Usually, she didn't go to that extent in her dress code when it was a date with Bryan. Their dates were often in very personal or confined places. Away from paparazzi's eyes or anyone with possible cameras. The world still didn't know that she was dating, much to the fact that she was more popular when boys thought she was single, that and because her mother would kill her.
But Summer had to do this to push Lexis' idea of her liking him out of his head.
Though she did like him. And he reads people.
She shut her eyes and sighed. Did he see through her? Was she really going to end up canceling with Bryan and going to the date with Lexis alone?
She grabbed her phone and looked at the text Lexis had sent to her last night. I win. Soul & Flowers at 2:00.
She put the phone down and looked at herself in the mirror. She was overdressed for a coffee and cake shop. She bit her lip and looked down at her dress.
Should I change into something more casual?
She ran in place and whined in the mirror, annoyed at herself. Why couldn't she just be confident when it came to Lexis?
Why does he always have to make her feel so insecure? When the rest of the world only made her feel that much more beautiful.
She was lost between two choices.
Call Bryan and cancel with him, which would leave her and Lexis alone in that shop, turning it into a real date.
Or not cancel with Bryan, have him come with her to the date, and that way the idea of it will be converted to three friends just simply getting together for cake and coffee.
Think, Summer, think. How do I win at the end of this? What if Lexis rejects me, and I lose Bryan in the process? What if it turns out that Lexis felt the same way and...
Letting out a final breath, she decided on what to do and grabbed her phone.
