"Are you going to apologize?"

Yoongi glances over at the boy momentarily before closing his eyes again, and leans against the cold wall. "Do you think I am going to?"

"No, not really." Hoseok sighs. "But well, I guess I expected a little too much from you."

Yoongi winks.

The boy smiles a little, but turns away, trying to hide it. "You're an ass."

"I know." He laughs.

Hoseok shakes his head, proceeding to look out the bars. Opposite him, Suga goes quiet, his smile falling off his face and his head hanging in thought.

Hoseok notices, and he looks over the blue-haired boy curiously, and a little concerned. "What is it?" He asks gently.

"Hm?" Yoongi looks up. "Oh, no...nothing."

"Really?" He raises an eyebrow. "Doesn't look like nothing to me."

"It's just...nevermind." The boy shakes his head. "It's not important."

The red-haired boy purses his lips. "Is this about not being able to attend the dance? If so, it's completely your own falut."

"Yeah, I know." He sighs, then smiles dryly. "Look at us. Two straight people, stuck in a jail cell on the night of the New Year dance."

"Two straight people who stupidly tried to trespass on property." Hoseok smiles slightly. "But then, it was you who tried initially...I was just curiously concerned."

"You didn't have to follow me." Suga shrugs.

"Okay, now shut up." He rolls his eyes. "Why is Taehyung not here yet? I thought you'd have more sense than to waste our one call on him."

Yoongi swallows, trying to fight against the nostalgia of his first time here. With you-the same reason why he was here now-because, like a love-struck idiot, he decided to try to find the place you had taken him to when you first met him.

"He's going to let us suffer first," He says softly, remembering what you had told him.

"Ah, there he is," The red-haired boy brightens. "Wait, why is he winking at the officers?"

Taehyung walks in with an unusual air, a hand running through his fluffy gray hair, a charming smile on his lips. He spots their cell, and narrows his eyes, throwing them a sour look before turning to the female officer at the table with a flirtatious smile.

Yoongi smiles wryly as he proceeds to sweet talk. "He's going to flirt us out of here."

Namjoon stares at the side of the shop, looking through the glass at the variety of cakes decorating the display.

There is quite a variety of favours and sizes, ranging from chocolate to red velvet and fist sized to bucket. All of them are delicious and even morr deliciously decorated-though the peach-haired boy's attention is captured completely by a single cake.

It's an average-sized strawberry, with white and pink icing that reminds him of his not-so-faithful boyfriend. What's more is the icing capitalising the words that seem to be specially designed to grate on the boy's already troubled mind, bearing the inscription, 'Happy New Year, Jin!'.

It even has those littlr hearts and everything.

Namjoon doesn't know why his attention is so completely taken by the cake, and how in the world he landed up in this street in the first place. It's cold out, with almost a pale gray sky, signifying that it might snow. He's not sure though. It hasn't snowed in so long.

People around him, wrapped in big, fluffy looking warm coats are walking and smiling together, no doubt caught up in the festive season. There is no soul in sight whose face speaks of an unspeakable inside heartache such as Namjoon's itself.

It's going to be a new year in a few hours. Maybe he'll get a new life, a new love too.

But he also knows it won't be easy.

His eyes stray back to the cake, and he mentally curses himself. Stop being overly dramatic, he chides himself mentally. There are so many Jins in the world.

And he's right in his argument, but that doesn't make the world any fairer.

Just as he turns around, a woman walks up to the shop.

She is completely wrapped in a felt coat, her ears and half her fsce covered in a fluffy muffler, but she is unmistakable to Namjoon's eyes. The woman is too familiar-and he cannot hope to not be able to recognize her, because her face had been engraved in his perfect memory the moment he had seen her.

The eoman he'd seen in the restaurant. The one who had called Jin 'love'.

She glances at the cake he was staring at moments ago, and his heart seems to shatter further.

Funny. He thought it was completely broken.

Just as he turns to walk away, the first snowflake lands on his sleeve.
