The next day I'm sitting at the kitchen island when my mom walks in.

"Hi honey." She greets me, kissing the top of my head.

She begins to make scrambled eggs for breakfast. That's when I realize she's not busy.

"Mom!" I exclaim.

She looks up "Yeah?"

"Can you help me with something?"

"With what?" She asks suspiciously.

"Hunter took my phone a few days ago and he won't give it back. Can you make him give it to me?" I explain.

"I guess so." She agrees.

"Yes!" I exclaim. "Come on."

She follows me up the stairs and down the hall to Hunter's room. We knock but he's probably still asleep. So we barge right in.

"Hunter!" My mom calls.

Hunter sits up looking confused.

"What, Mom?" Hunter asks groggily.

Then he spots me hiding behind her. He narrows his eyes at me.

"I hear you've been holding your sister's phone hostage." Mom says.

"Really Emma, you told mom on me? Seriously." He snaps at me.

I back away a little further.

"You never would've given it back to me if I hadn't." I complain.

"Hunter, can you please give Emma her phone back." Mom orders.

I grin at him. He scowls at me. Then he leans down to his bedside table drawer. He reaches under some papers and pulls out my phone.

"Here." Hunter says, practically throwing my phone at me.

"Thanks." I mumble back.

"There you go honey." Mom says, ruffling my hair.

Then she leaves. That leaves Hunter and I alone together. I quickly try to get out before Hunter can say something to me. Not fast enough.

"You actually tattled on me?" Hunter asks me.

"Yeah and I got my phone back, didn't I?" I brag.

"Yeah just watch. Within the next week I'll have it kidnapped again." Hunter gloats.

My smile fades. That will definitely happen. Hunter notices my change in expression. This puts a smile on his face.

I leave his room and head back to mine. Then I head back downstairs only to be ambushed. With pillows. By Cameron, Sawyer and Ryder.
I shrieked as I got knocked onto the ground only to be pummelled with pillows.

"Stop!" I scream.

They do not stop.

"I'm serious! Ow!" I howl.

"Boys, stop hurting your sister." Mom orders.

They immediately stop. Ha. Suckers.

I roll over onto my back and Ryder and Sawyer grab a hand and pull me to my feet.

"I do not appreciate this abuse." I huff, trying to fix my hair.

Cam laughs. Mom rolls her eyes and heads back to the kitchen.

"So Emma, how was your day yesterday?" Sawyer asks, knowing very well I was held captive by my twin.

"Shut up." I command.

"Wow. Was it really that bad?" Cam chimes in.

"Shut up." I repeat.

"I see why Hunter felt the need to hurt you now." Laughs Ryder.

"Leave me alone." I whine, trying to leave only to be held back the three idiots.

"Did you ever get your phone back?" Sawyer questions me.

"Stop talking to me." I complain.

"Probably not then. You're such a baby. Can't even defend yourself from Hunter. Imagine trying to defend yourself against Ryder or Leo." Cameron taunts.

Ryder and Leo are my most muscular (and scary) brothers.

"Why can't you just not talk to me!" I whine.

"Fine well just go ask Hunter what happened." Ryder sighs.

Cam and Sawyer follow him out.

"Good." I call after them.

I head back into the kitchen where Leo and Alexander are sitting at the breakfast nook.

"Do you ever go to your own house?" I ask Alex.

"Why would I want to? You're not there. I can't torture anyone." He retorts, winking.

"I don't like you." I say, heading over to the fridge.

"Ouch!" Alexander pretends to be hurt.

I grab a yogurt and scurry back to my room. Just as I'm about to get to the safety of my room, someone steps in front of me. I groan. Hunter.

"Move Hunter." I demand my twin.

I try to go around him but he places his hands on my shoulders and directs me back in front of him.

"Don't touch me." I cry.

"Why?" Hunter smirks at me.

"You're mean." I complain.

"Yeah, so I believe you took something of my this morning." Hunter says, sticking out his hand.

"It's MY phone." I say.

"I don't think so." He pretends to look confused.

"It's mine." I whine, pushing past him and heading into my room.

"Oooo. You're so tough now Emma." He taunts.

"Leave me alone." I shout.
