BONUS CHAPTER 32: Police Station

YOU ASKED, AND I'M RECEIVING. I really want to write a lot more Alena bonus chapters since they're not getting a book. So this one, as well as the next bonus chapter, are all for Athena and Alan. :D I'm hoping I could write the next bonus chapter today, but I'm having a hard time planning how something is going to go.

BONUS CHAPTER 32: Police Station

~Athena: Age 18~

       I really hoped Alan wasn't working today and even if he was, he better be on patrol or something and not at the police station, because I really didn't want to see his reaction to seeing his girlfriend being escorted into the police station.

       At least it was only me and not Tulip and Xavier. My family seemed to have a knack for being arrested, so I was more than willing to take the blame and create a diversion while they left.

       Seriously, everyone except for my mom has been arrested at least once.

       Oops?

       Unfortunately for me, the first person I noticed when I was led into the police station was Alan. 

       And it didn't take long before Alan noticed me as well, looking extremely confused. However, he wasn't able to walk over and see exactly why I was arrested because I was led to one of the interrogation rooms.

       At least I wasn't led to a holding cell right away, unlike my dad, brother, and sister when they got arrested.

       More than once.

       The police officer who arrested me told me to stay here before he left. I was really tempted to say, "No, really?" because honestly, why would I leave? And how could I sneak out with a bunch of police officers in the station?

       It didn't take long for the door to open but it wasn't the police officer that arrested me. 

       It was Alan.

       "Heeeeeey," I said. "So, uh... You come here often?"

       "Funny," Alan asked as he sat across from me. "What on earth did you do that caused you to be arrested?"

       "Nothing bad, I swear," I said.

       "If it wasn't bad, then you would have been arrested," Alan said. "I'm being serious, Athena. What did you do?"

       "Again, nothing bad," I said. "Well, to me that is. I don't see how exploring an abandoned fair ground can be deemed worthy of being arrested."

       "Why would you explore an abandoned fair ground?" Alan asked.

       "Why wouldn't I?" I asked. "I like living on the edge, and I wanted to check it out. See how creepy it is. It is really creepy, by the way. I wouldn't suggest going there."

       "You shouldn't have gone there in the first place," Alan said. 

       "...I won't go to jail, right?" I asked. "Because I'm only seventeen. I'm just a minor."

       "You're eighteen," Alan said.

       "Okay, you might know that, and I might know that, but the police don't know that," I said. "...I know you're also the police, but just pretend you're not."

       Alan sighed. "No, you're not going to go to jail. It is your first criminal offense and although you did trespass, it wasn't on someone's private property."

       "But..." I said.

       "How did you know there was a but coming?" Alan asked.

       I shrugged. "There seems like there would be one."

       "But you owe me big time," Alan said.

       "That's it?" I asked. "Wait... Why?"

       "Because you were going to get fined, but I paid for it," Alan said.

       "What?" I asked. "No, why'd you do that? Now I feel guilty. I could have paid for it myself."

       "Three-hundred dollars?" Alan asked.

       "Well, damn," I said. "Sorry. For making you pay that much. I promise I won't trespass again. Or at least try to get caught. I'm young. I make mistakes."

       Even though I purposefully got arrested so my best friend and her fiance could get out without getting caught.

       "Don't worry about it," Alan said. "Seriously. You're saving up for university, and I have a job. But you do owe me big time."

       "Anything you want, I'll do it," I said. "Watching a movie, playing video games, having sex."

       "Alright, you're free to go now," Alan said.

       "What time to you get off of work?" I asked. "Because I don't have a ride home and I would rather not call my parents."

       "Half an hour," Alan said. "I'm just going to be at my desk the whole time so you can wait with me there."

       "Sweet," I said.

       Alan and I got up and he led me to his desk. He pulled up an extra chair and I sat down at it before he sat down on his chair. I immediately pulled out my cell phone before sending a text to Tulip, telling her that everything was okay and I didn't technically get in trouble.

       "Did you go to the fair ground alone?" Alan asked. "Or did someone go with you?"

       "Depends," I said. "Can they still get arrested even though they're no longer trespassing."

        Alan gave me a flat look. "Don't tell me Tulip and Xavier were with you."

       "Then I won't tell you," I said. "Because they totally didn't go with me. I went alone. One hundred percent."

       "How were you the only one arrested then?" Alan asked.

       "Uh, didn't you hear me? They didn't go with me," I said. "I went alone. Nobody else came with me. But if someone were to ever come with me, you know in the future if I ever decide to do it again, it will be because I get arrested on purpose to create a diversion so they can escape."

        "Well, then thank you, for making sure my sister stays out of trouble," Alan said. "Though knowing my dad, he'd be okay with it and only tell her not to get caught next time."

       "I wish my dad was like that," I said. "He got arrested so many times in his teens. Like it got up to the point where my uncle Dax actually had a bail money jar saving up for the next time he would have to bail my dad out of jail."

       "Really?" Alan asked. "And he won't even let you go party?"

       "Nope," I said. "I get that he wants to keep us safe but seriously, he did a lot worse than going to a party. You won't tell him that I got arrested, will you?"

       "I think I can keep this a secret," Alan said. "You'll have to owe me even more, though."

       "Wink, wink," I said.

       "No... Just no."

Trust me, the next Alena bonus chapter is going to be very cute. :D

I've been binging a lot of staying overnight videos, so I had to make that the reason Athena got arrested.

AND there may be a bonus chapter in the future involving a certain group of six staying overnight in an abandoned place...
