Parth's pov
"Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh"
She again screamed in horror but this time even louder and ran to save her dear life.
'Oh Girl! It's me who is supposed to be shocked now. Not you!' I thought to myself. I stood in my place watching her frame fading away in dark.
"You are watching your tamil dubbed serial for the first time, right?", a chirpy feminine voice asked behind me, bringing me back to reality.
I turned to find it was Rudhya. Her eyes were set on the TV.
"Come. Its not the right time to admire your perfectly sculpted face on the TV. Everyone is expecting you in downstairs Mr.Parth Samthaan", She said in a mocking tone and turned off the TV.
I stood rooted in my place, not paying attention to whatever she was saying, that girl's face constantly played on in the back of my mind.
I heard Rudhya let out a heavy sigh. She grabbed my hand and dragged me all the way down to the living room where her father and mother were seated on a brown leather sofa and my mom seated across them. I could hear them discussing seriously about something in Tamil as Mom's voice sounded very serious.
My mom called me as I entered the living room, "Parth, Come here."
Rudhya left my hand and went towards her parents and sat on the armrest while I made my way towards Mom and sat besides her. I think that girl must be Rudhya's elder sister. But they both look totally different from each other.
They resumed their blabbing as I seated, all I could grasp from their discussion are, 'Parth, Kavya, Kalyaanam'. I wondered what they are discussing that needs to be concerned about me. I fished out my mobile from my pocket and started to view newsfeed.
I heard my Mom saying,"Parth ku Kaviya va kalyanam panni vakanum nu engaluku virupam. Kaviya va chinna kolanthalaye parthiruken. Ava enaku marumagala varrathula enaku santhosam thaan (Translation - We would like my son Parth to marry Kavya. I am happy to have her as my daughter-in-law)".
Once those words left out of her mouth, everyone became silent. I heard someone squealing in happiness. I wondered what Mom told them that made Rudhya so excited. Kalavathy and Raj shekar also looked very surprised and freezed. Kalavathy opened and closed her mouth like a dying fish, looking very stunned. Rudhya kept shaking Kalavathy's shoulder and shouted, "Ma, Ok sollu ma. Ok sollu ma."
My mom looked very nervous and excited at the same time, she asked, "Ungaluku ithula sammatham thaana? (Translation - Do you agree to this?)"
Raj Shekar finally came back to reality and said, "Engaluku sammatham thaan (Translation - We agree)".
Rudhya shrieked and clapped her hands in excitement, I looked up to find it is Rudhya. She said," Naan poi akka va kooptu varen (Translation - I will bring her)" and turned on her heels.
As she was about to exit the living room, we heard a loud thud and that was when I saw her again.
"Idho vandhutaa. En anbaana ponnu.(Translation - She is here. My lovely daughter)" Kalavathy said something in Tamil.
She is standing near the entrance of living room, smiling a little. Rudhya ran towards her and hugged her. Mom stood up from the couch and nudged me to do the same while her eyes were glued on that mysterious girl.
After a brief glance at her, my Mom turned to look at me and hugged me and whispered,"Mere baad Kavya hi tumhaara acche se khyaal rakh sakti hai" (Translation- Only Kaviya can take good care of you after me.)"
