Shattered

a/n: This is basically just a recap of stevonnie's dream.  I've edited a bit so there's more dialogue and it's less about Connie's mom. It's important to the story so read it anyway. also you can watch the video while reading to make it stick in your head forever!!! sounds good right?!

I am using they/them pronouns for Stevonnie, NOT she/her pronouns! So don't get upset about that or try to correct me.

Stevonnie sighed in relief as the strange blue creature left them to peace. They looked around the deserted place. Vines were here and there, and alien flowers dotted the place. It was quiet, with no sign of life other than Stevonnie themself. They yawned.

Suddenly, a feeling of déjà vu washed over them. "Huh? Haven't I...been here before?!", they muttered. They glanced around (again). "No..it can't be." They yawned again.

"Umph, this'll do." they said looking at two rocks. Stevonnie walked over to them and quickly tied a cloth to either end of the rocks, making a hammock to sleep in. They jumped in, and in an instant they were asleep.

[a/n: spoiler time guys!! this next part is all in a dream btw]

With a stretch and a yawn, Stevonnie woke up. They felt soft carpet underneath them. "W-what?" they said in disbelief. "I'm...home?!" But they weren't. They couldn't be. They shook the thought out of their head and began to look around. 

Out of nowhere, a giant figure emerged from the floor. The figure's back was to Stevonnie so they couldn't see who - or what - it was. Curious, they ran over to the person.

It was Connie's mother. She was giant! She was wearing her medical clothes. Evidently, she didn't notice Stevonnie, as she was on the phone speaking to someone. "There will be no excuses. Get it done!" she said angrily.

The tiny Stevonnie yelled, "Hey! What are you talking about?" Dr. Priyanka (still) didn't notice them whatsoever and continued shouting at the poor person on the other end of the call.  "You will stick to my orders and you will destroy them!" she yelled.

Stevonnie groaned. "Ugh, I hate it when she ignores me." Using some super cool moves, they managed to get right next to Dr. Priyanka. "Hey, mom!" they shouted, but to no avail. This was quite annoying for them. "Augh!" they muttered.

They angrily walked until they were right on Dr. Priyanka's shoulder. "HEY MOM, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Stevonnie shouted at the top of their lungs. Their mom glared at them for a second. "Please, give me a moment." she whispered. Stevonnie sighed in annoyance. At least they'd gotten their mom's attention. They sat on their mom's shoulder, waiting.

As soon as the call was over, they stood up. "So..." Stevonnie said. 

But something changed. Their surroundings were no longer Connie's home, but a strange room with translucent yellow glass acting as a wall around them. And even Dr. Priyanka changed. She took on many features of Yellow Diamond, including her helmet and outfit. 

Yellow noticed that Stevonnie was still there. "Oh, hello." she muttered, immediately getting back to work. "Hey, whatcha doing?" Stevonnie asked eagerly. "I'm commanding the dropships to colonize this planet," she said in a gravelly voice. It was clear she wanted to be left alone.

"Ooh!" Stevonnie said in awe. "I want to command a dropship!" Yellow glared at them. "Well, when you have your own colony, you can command whatever you want." She said firmly, trying to get back to work.

"I want a colony!" Stevonnie shouted. Yellow ignored her.

"I want one NOW!!!" Yellow tapped at a screen. "Oh, what's this?" Stevonnie said, intrigued. "I'm trying to contact the leader of the fleet." They smiled. "Lemme do it!" They said excitedly, and ran over to the screen, tapping at both sides causing flashing yellow and blue rhombuses to appear.

This was the last straw for Yellow. "Don't touch that!" she said, anger starting to rise. Stevonnie didn't look the slightest bit pleased either.

"Oh yeah? Why not?! You have so, so many worlds and I don't even have one! It's not fair!" Stevonnie yelled, quickly pausing. 

"I want one!" they shouted, and Yellow frowned. 

"I want my own army!"

"I want my own planet!"

"I deserve it!"

"I'M JUST AS IMPORTANT AS YOU!"

Yellow stood up. "Then why don't you act like it, Pink?!" she said, her voice booming. 

Stevonnie walked away, anger bubbling up inside them. They approached the window, fists clenched. In the reflection, you could see someone.

Someone who wasn't Stevonnie.

She was Pink.

And as Stevonnie raised their fist, she did too.

And when Stevonnie punched the window, shattering it into millions of shards, she did too.

She did too.

And then Stevonnie woke up.

...

Heyo guys! How was that for a chapter? I'm going to try to update 2 or 3 times a week, so we'll see how well I stick to schedule. School starts tomorrow (saying that it's the 7th of January) so I may be behind. Oh well.

Anyway, in the next couple of chapters, we'll be delving more into who is Pink and what are her relationships with the other Diamonds. 

This is going to be full of my own theories and headcanons. Since there's still season 2 to be revealed, we'll see if any of this proves to be true. But yeah!
