"If my time is up let me know right now, I will find a way to your heart again." ~Omarion, Speedin

LAUREN

I sit in the booth with Normani at Chuck E. Cheese, you know she ain't want me sitting next to her. We sit in awkward silence here and there and I just sit there, tapping my foot and twiddling my thumbs, looking at her every few seconds. Aye, at least we in the same room.

I slide out the booth, "I'm going to the bathroom."

I pull my phone out and make a call to Bryson as soon as I go through the doors.

"What you up to?"

"Believe it or not I'm out with Normani and the twins."

"Oh? Like actually?"

"I know, right?"

I tell him what happened earlier and pretty much kill time in the bathroom.

"How could I allow myself to let it escalate that far?"

"Aye, you a dumbass."

"Bryson! I want encouragement not ridicule for something I already know."

"Mmh, you still are one. Honestly though just let her go through it all don't try to rush it."

"It's just hard, she basically doesn't want anything to do with me. She said it herself."

"She's hurt L, she's gonna say whatever to get you to leave her alone. Chill out and let her process everything."

"Alrigh, alright. I hear you."

"Now stop hiding in the bathroom and go play with your kids and almost ex wife."

"Very funny. Suck a dick."

"You first. Holla at me later."

"Whatever."

I end the call and take my times walking back out, taking this time to think.

Every time I see her, it's like I lost love from an Angel and it's all just strange. Time is going by fast yet slow and as it goes by, it hurts more and more how bad I need to be with her.

I'm with whatever she wants to do, as long as I can do it with her. All I need is another chance and I would do things so much better and give her whatever she needs, more than she could think.

Whether it's my love, attention, opinion, trust, whatever.

I stare at my wedding ring, thinking back on that day. I just wanna hold her in my arms. But if my time is up I need to know now, so I can figure out what to do and find a way to her heart again.

I want time to speed up just to see where we stand ,but I guess I gotta wait it out and I'm willing to.

I get back out to the table and see nobody there. I look around and find them playing skeeball, whew I thought I was ghosted. I walk up to Amaiyah and pick her up, bringing her to the end where the sockets are.

"Just throw em in baby."

She nods and laughs while cheating her little way to all these tickets. Normani hits my arm with a small smile.

"That's cheating," She says.

"Damn right it is," I laugh.

I grab her tickets and put some in my pocket since I contributed. Elijah grabs our hands and pulls us towards the slides and all that tube shit.

"Come on, come on!"

I follow behind him and swing our arms, "I don't think we have a choice."

He continues dragging us while laughing, "So come on!"

Him and Amaiyah run in first and I follow suit, I look back at Normani and gesture for her to hurry.

"Come on!" I say, mocking Elijah.

She slowly crawls in after me and stares at me skeptically.

"Keep your hands to yourself," She says.

"Noted."
