Chapter 8

Hey guys wanna have that jam session now?" Ash says excitedly running over, with the rest following.
    "Ya we've been waiting for hours" I say giving a fake glare.
    "Hey you could have come in the water" jessie says.
    "And leave Luke by himself?" i say jokingly offended.
    "Anyway, anyone have any songs?" Calum asks. Looking around as we all got situated with instruments in a circle on the towels.
    "Uh, Luke and I just wrote one? If he wants to play it" I say looking to Luke for confirmation. He nods. Pulling out the song book and opening the page. A guitar is handed to me and i look at luke asking if he wants to play it but he shakes his head telling me to.  I can only nod and start to strum the tune I had in my head to go with the lyrics. I see him smile so i assume it was what he was thinking too.

"well , say something" I laugh when they all just stare at us, not saying anything.
"Wow, i don't think there's anything to say." Ashton says. The others, excluding jake nod in agreement, grinning. I smile and nudge Luke causing him to flinch away. I've been noticing he does that alot.
    "Did you guys just write that in the time since we got here?" Jessie asks with wide eyes. Luke and I nod.
    "We finished like an hour ago." I say.
    "Jeeze." jessie breathes.
    "Were used to writing two songs a day so Luke must be still in the motions of that." Calum smiles.
    "So any in mind you wanna play?" I ask Ashton.
    "If Luke doesn't mind singing, he is our singer." he half jokes, looking at Luke.
    "Do you have any that are unreleased? Meant to go on your new album?" Jessie asks. The three look at each other and shrug.
    "Uh, i think so, Luke is the only one who know them on guitar though." Calum explained.
    "It's fine, i'll play."
    "Yay! Jake you watch Luke, you have to learn how to play them anyway." Ashton says to jake and i see jake roll his eyes when Ashton looks away. I turn back to Luke and notice he was glaring at Jake, he must have seen the eye roll.
    "Witch one do you wanna play Luke?" Ash asks, looking at him curiously.
    "Wanna just play Amnesia?" Luke asks. Seeming like he doesn't want to play new songs.
    "Ya we can do that, just we usually have two guitars in it." Calum says. Picking up the other guitar. I hand Luke the one in my lap and they start to play the song.

Calum:]
"I drove by all the places we used to hang out getting wasted

    I can actually tell Calum is struggling to play the guitar parts by this point. He is used to playing bass.
[Calum:]
"The pictures that you sent me they're still living in my phone
I'll admit I like to see them, I'll admit I feel alone
And all my friends keep asking why I'm not around-"

    Calum stops paying and kinda just stares at the guitar. I look around in confusion, then spot a group of teenagers in the distance. Fans. I don't really think before i'm grabbing the guitar from Calum and laying Josh's part in this song, the main guitar.
    I start playing the music and motion to Luke to play, he just kinda looks at me funny but plays anyway, and the song continues where Calum left off but he isn't singing.

"It hurts to know you're happy, yeah, it hurts that you've moved on" I sing trying to get Calum to snap out of it. He does when he hears it and picks up where I left off.

    "Holy shit! I wish someone had that on camera!" Ashton says excitedly.
    "What why?" Calum asks.
    "That save was amazing it was like so perfect!"
    "Ya great job Mikey" Jessie says smirking.
    "Thanks but Calum are you ok?" I ask him he just kinda shrugs a bit.
    "I play bass on this song, I know a little bit of it on guitar but not enough, i couldn't keep up." he says sadly.
    "Hey you were doing fine! You said it yourself you always play this song on bass. Don't worry about it" i tell him, rubbing his shoulder. He smiles and thanks me.
    "Ok but in all seriousness, you just keep getting better and better every time you play" Calum says.
    "Me?" I laugh. "Na i'm just the tech guy, that's why I know how to play almost every song" I tell him.
    "Nah Mikey is being shy!" Jessie says. I widen my eyes at him. What the hell is he doing!
" Michael, shy?" Ashton asks laughing. I pout.
"The only reason he knows all your songs is because he's like a huge fan." jesse laughs.
"Jessie!" I shout at him but not actually mad.
"You are?" Luke looks at me smirking.
"Don't get cocky blondie" I say making the others laugh.
"Ooo-" Calum starts to tease but he is cut of by a small shriek.we all look up and I smile, the group of fans that I saw before worked up the nerve to talk to the boys.
